I don't see the issue in bumping the thread to be honest, the point of a giveaway is having people enter to win something. Nobody will enter if 90% of people don't look further than the first page. It's hardly spam when you think about it, because if we count bumping a thread that actually deserves it, then what do we call the 10 different styles of forum games we have regularly occuring all over the site?
