why dont we get a pro team together right now that the mlg season is over?

They could start practicing asa team for next year earlys so they might be able to stand a chance.

lol, duh you should know that by now.

I like the idea of getting a team togeather As soon as possible though. Like you said they could start practicing and such. Also a pro team around again would help everything. I know alot of people who are really interested in that, and its another way to represent XG.

Good question! But you are right I am unpleasable! We have done Pro teams before and all of them are a headache! We will be doing the whole PRO team thing once again but not at this time. We are looking at other tournaments other than MLG! We would like to attend other more Professional tournaments! The same teams win at MLG all the time. They seed teams based off points. MLG has their own sponsored teams who consistantly win. We have had teams go and get top 8 two or three times. We would like our gamers to go to a tourney they have a chance to win at. We really dont get anything for the pain in the butt that it all is. But we will be doing it again in the future, we just have not decided when.

So... you're looking to have a team go to tournaments other than MLG, because you think that any XGC team that we might put together wouldn't be good enough to place top-four?

And, by the way, putting a pro team back together really does seem like a priority for the gamers. Why else would you have so many people asking about it?

that would seem like a good idea, i'd be up for the challenge. majority of the people i come across whom are interested in joining XGC have asked if we had a pro team, (being that we are so big) and i keep telling them that it's in the wings, that it'll be put together soon....

what all goes into getting your team to go to the tournaments and such? (if that made sense)

Well, if you already have a team that you're happy with, you pretty much just go to wherever the event is. You have to buy passes for some events beforehand, and some are invitational, but other that that, there's not a whole lot to do.

If you're good enough, though, you might want to look into getting a sponsor to help pay for travel expenses, lodging, ect...

ok how about this double 0..... how come we can play with members of KSI but we cant recruit them.... in my opinion it does matter bcuz ppl have been asking about it since they broke up..... if not a pro team how about am... i mean some of us may be good but we may not be pro level... so why not have an am team too

ok... first off, whoever said pro teams aren't a whole lot of work is dead wrong... a pro team involves a lot of responsibilities... you have the order of events wrong...

it's not pro team then sponsorships... it's sponsorships, then pro team a pro team is pretty expensive, it's something that no one person should have to pay out of pocket, remember, XG doesn't make any profit... it's a hell of a lot of work dealing with potential sponsors... because when we went through this the last time, we prolly dealt with 500 potential sponsors to only get two or three that eventually put some money where their mouth is...

also getting a pro team that ur happy with is easier said that done... how do you chose the 1 team that will represent you... how do you ensure that everyone will agree that this is the best team for the job... when you have finally chose a pro team, you will have many more people unhappy with that pro team than you will satisfied... we try to make decisions that make our entire community happy, so this does not make our job easy...

once you have your pro team then ur only getting your feet wet with the amount of drama you are about to endure... first, pro teams know they are good, so you have to deal with egos, not only the team as a whole, but within the team... teams often break up because of this, then you are left with harder decisions about who should stay and who should go, also you have to question if the new team is as good as the former one...

if your team is good enough, then other organizations that have a lot of cash to waste try to steal ur team (has happened to us well more times than i wish to say)... when your team is at an event you have to have someone there to monitor everything, because once again egos can get out of hand and situations can come up with other organizations...

i can go into MUCH more detail, but i just want everyone to realize that the pro team is WAY too much drama and responsibility for us right now... we will pursue it in the future, but we want to be completely prepared for a pro team, and honestly right now we aren't... we don't have someone picked out to head up the pro team, and we don't even know what gaming league/tournament we want to stick with...

as far as an AM team is concerned... those don't really help out... there's no need for one at this level... maybe when we have a pro team, and there are enough aspiring pros out there to really give our pro team a run for their money, but right now, no... not to mention halo is getting kinda old... i realize it is still played in the tournaments, but within a year halo 3 will be launching, not to mention all of the other great titles already out for 360 and the other titles coming out...

its not that big of a deal, i was just watching the mlg circuit on tv and thought that it would be cool to see XGC up there with KSI and MoB

Seeing KSI and MoB at an MLG tourney, what does that get them? Does anyone really care that they are at a tourney that they paid to be at and it is being video taped? It would be almost the same a being at a baseball game and catching a foul ball and getting on TV for 3 seconds. I think it is kind of the same thing!
