-Within three weeks i have heard about 7 cases of people getting the red-rings in XILED GAMING, what ever you do, do-not send it in to microsoft for them to fix it!!! it will take them 3 to 6 weeks for them to repair it, compared to 1-3 hours depending how fast and accurate you are......there is a link below that will show you how to repair your 360 in about an hour...... This really works i already have fix a couple of my friends 360's watching this video.........remember this is only if you don't have any remaining warranty on your 360, and don't have nothing to lose

this is what you will need:

-a T8 and a T10 screw........

-and a small flat head screw driver to take out the X-CLAMPS.........

-some q-tips / alcohol

-and alot of freakin patience........some times it can get frustrating with the X-CLAMPS

Acutall if u have a warranty or not YOUR BOX IS COVERED IF U GET THE RED RINGS!!!!!

I got it with my warentee expired. They fixed it for free in 3 weeks.

DO NOT ATTEMPT THI!!!!!!
THIS IS A BAD IDEA< IT WILL JUST COSt $100 TO GET IT FIED IN THE END

-That's real funny that you say that, because i already fix 3 xiledgaming members xbox because they did not have any warranty left because they were the first models........and because you couldn't fix yours doesn't mean that someone else can't.......it doesn't take a genius, only patience

-If this was true people would not be deciding whether to buy a new 360 or paying someone to fix it.......get your facts straight!!!

. I got mine fixed post warranty. They said that RED RING will be covered. Its an extended warranty


Im not saying anything against UR idea. If u can do it FINE I CAN"T STOP U. I wasn;t and AM NOT trying to start anything. If you have a issue with me, please bring it to me in person

My dvd drive went after my warranty expired so I had to replace it and void any 3 yr. Then I got RROD after about 6 months after. I fixed mine using the X-clamp method. It lasted a year before it RROD again. I have done extensive research into this matter. Here is a good resource http://www.llamma.com/xbox360/repair/ring_of_light_x-clamp_fix.htm
Goto their forums and you can get real solid advice. I am currently in the process of putting together a reflow machine and God willing a reball kit. Those are tools you need to truly repair the contacts in the GPU and CPU. I will vouch for the method above though it gave me another year.
