WHY DO G/F'S HATE GAMING CONSOLE

My girlfriend doesnt hate when I play video games, well the little I do now a days.
But she would hate if i played all the time instead of spending time with her.
Its all about perception, If your ignoring her for a game, your a crappy partner.

me it's not so much of an issue. Mine is 4 hours away and when she is here, whether it be for a short or longer period of time, i always want to be with her. (No offense to you guys. I love you all but sorry, she has you all beat)
In my experience girls generally don't like gaming for a couple reasons. In the early 90's the gaming movement really pushed forward and the target audience for the vast majority of the games were MEN. So by the time women were considered a target audience the gaming industry had transformed into something much more disgusting to them. If we had never played a game before we would probably be horrified and disgusted at the thought of grand theft auto. This is the same reason parents hate games.
In short...they all feel they have better things to do with there time.

yall got the wrong women, lol my wife is as much as a gamer as i am, lol. and shes in my section lol.
Lol its annoying when only the guy is playing and not the girl lol...i mean she might be interested but some girls arnt...I would love a boyfriend thats more into the games that i am into than playing just the one or two games what the guy is into! every girl is different chuck. 
we have games we play together, and we have the games we play alone. it works out, lol. your in the uk, ive got some troops over there i could hook ya up with, lol.

Bingo, also you have the issue of when you actually have free time. Most adults (should) have jobs, so whether you are married or dating which matters more, spending time with them during your off time or your xbox? If you circled Xbox you need help. Also, guys and gals, playing the xbox is not spending quality time together, you can disagree but trust me.
I think what you are shooting for here is not that they can't play but that they have no interest to, and I mean most don't, and it ties in with what fuffy said.

I wouldn't say that most girls can't play xbox... In fact I make my gal friends come over to game quite often during a girls game night. And trust me, most these girls haven't touched a controller ever in their lives.
Sure, I wouldn't say the are on the skill level of the usual gamer, but they pick it up pretty surprisingly fast.
Get the drinks flowing however and then your point is most definitely correct
compared to guys who usually can still play... sort of.As long as you have a career/job set and continue to bring in the green you’ll be fine. I have a Thailand girlfriend that doesn’t like the idea that I play the 360, even if its for a little bit. I just turn it around saying she facebook way too much. We both came to agreement whenever she facebooks when she is over I power up the 360. hahaha
