I have 5 names on my birth certificate. The funny thing about having so many names is the fact that most people call me by nicknames. Anyway my first name is Micheal. I hate that name. If someone knows me by this name they more then likely are not a personal friend of mine and more then likely they are a coworker. Its always Mike for short too. I can deal with that more then I can Micheal. My family calls me by my middle name, Kuhio. Im half Hawaiian before you ask. So my real friends call me K because they slaughter the pronunciation. All of my box friends call me Rabid, and some of my real friends even call me that, that play the box with me.

My real name is Keanu Cordova but you can all call me Android. Its a preference and its my real life nickname so let's just go with it.
The reason I hate that name is because it's so generic. I hear the name Mike at work half a dozen times a day at work and it's not meant for me.
John...just John. It's generic, there's plenty of other John's in the world, but it's who I am.
