THE "GLITCHES" IN MW2 WERE INTENTIONAL

I don't understand why people get so upset by noob toobs and "glitches" like the javelin glitch or the akimbo shotguns. Honestly, people, Infinity Ward didn't make any mistakes with these "glitches" in the games. They named the game MODERN WARFARE 2 for a reason; this is how we fight today.

First off, there are people who complain about how some people could hide in walls. Haven't you ever seen Fringe? Or Harry Potter? Invisibility is for real, people.

I can understand why people get annoyed with the akimbo shotguns, but honestly, there's nothing "glitchy" about them. We have weapons today that can tear a person into a thousand pieces from a distance of 500 yards. Having a workable long-range shotgun (a.k.a a shotgun loaded with pellets that have stronger jackets that don't dissolve before they leave the barrel) is not just something people talk about. IT'S FOR REAL.

Who has a problem with unlimited ammo? I mean, honestly, you don't think that soldiers carry around a half-dozen extra cartridges/magazines for their weapon? Do you think they all have death wishes? Just because some players found a way to have the game recognize all of the extra ammo your player was carrying, doesn't mean they're cheating. Hey, would YOU run into a battlefield with only 50 rounds? I didn't think so.

And seriously, people still think the javelin glitch is fake? Have you ever heard of BOMB VESTS? People do wear those, you know. And even if you're not wearing one, if you have a grenade, and you know you're dead, just pull the pin, hold the clamp, and keep running until you die. I know that if I'm going to die, I'm going to take as many of the bad guys with me as I can.

Now, finally, the long-range knife "mod" has to be my favorite "glitch". This is just proof of Infinity Ward taking things to the next level. I don't know how they got such high-profile military secrets out into their game, but that was awesome. It almost made me want to join the army. Who here hasn't wanted to take a knife, slice the air, and slash something 50 feet away? It's effin' cool!

I'd like to take this moment to thank Infinity Ward for making their Modern Warfare 2 game as realistic as possible. You guys are awesome.

I'm in the army so you must tell me where I can find a shotgun with as much range as my M24 lol.

I for one am just glad that someone found away to yell at people and it still be funny. Good read.

Try eBay, they have everything there.

And really, I'm not yelling at anyone. This was meant to be a satire against Infinity Ward, not against the gamers.

I kind of wonder if they're more interested in making money than fixing the game. Bungie doesn't seem to have any problem fixing cheats in the Halo games. Infinity Ward needs to work harder.

I don't think they ever should have left away from treyarch at least they had the staff and manpower to cover more areas when they were still working together but as you said money is everything and no one likes to share.

I hear that you'd think with the technology were getting into at this day and age this would be a simple fix.

The problem was more the lack of effort than anything. Where Bungie and most developers are constantly checking discussions about their games for cheats and glitches, and fixing them if they're prevalent enough, Infinity Ward seems to not notice similar problems until they become known worldwide. And many of these glitches could have - and should have - been fixed in alpha and beta testing, which Infinity Ward didn't do very well (if at all, I don't remember the specifics of my research).

Game Informer had a great article on the process of beta testing, in their August 2010 edition (with the Batman: Arkham City cover). I'd suggest reading it, it's actually quite enlightening.
