Hi is it possible to introduce a new rank into XGC called a Technician
I have fixed a number of the clan members internet connections over the internet and was wondering if a new rank could be introduced so that members could be able to pick out a guy who could help them out on the computer.
I will admit i havn't been on halo2 in a while but i am in the middle of doing exams in unerversity but i still have people adding me to their msn friends lists in order to help them out even if I'm not on xbox live. and i do do my best to be online as long as possible even though there is usually a 7hour difference between u guys in the usa and me in germany.
Anyway just was wondering if it would possible would love to find out what u guys think.

Highly doubt that would happen. There's just no demand for an extra rank in our ranking system. But there is no problem with continuing what you are doing.

.... i wont state my opinion if a new rank shall be placed within XGC but it seems his idea has some good promise behind it and it would be nice if Squads had somone that was idnetifiable if technical help is needed

So someone wants to be a Technician and never change from that rank? I'm saying its great if there are people in squads that do this, but I would bet that it's not something that would be used by every single squad. The rank structure has to be uniform for each squad out there in XG.

I think that everything we have going right now is awesome and we shouldnt change it what u r doing helps and people note it and recognize that you are doing ur part and that will help ur chances for advancement. But to ask for a new position is like asking for a promotion. keep up the good work and see what it turns up but dont necessarily assume that people arent noticing what you are doing. Or that people dont appreciate it. Good job keep up the good work and if i need ur help ill come to you but remember footwork first reward later.

i dont think he is looking for a reward though. i believe he is mearliy making a suggestion for change. even benjamin franklin said their should be a revolution every 20 years ( meaning some form of change ) why not make some form of change for the better and for updating for the new time4s Xg is comng to ...new games and technical support

y not like an XGC Geek Squad (LOL) we have the design team. Y not a tech team. I am sure there are a few people interested. Even if it is not a whole new rank it would be easier for the people that do need them to contact them.
please dont take geek squad offensively. Best Buy the store has a group of techs called the geek squad.

Maybe an off-topic forum for computer/tech help. Some of the bigger forums I frequent have those.

I know there is the Helpdesk, but that is for website issues and it sounds like he is talking about other issues. Then again, that would probably confuse people where to go for help with the website.

pretty much what he is talking about is one how to hook up XBL correctly and efficiently.
You know when you have a friend online and you can never join his party. it is usually cause one of them are connected to the wrong port or something like that. Usually shutting down the modem and router for at least a minute solves this problem, but when it doesn't that is where the tech comes in.
Orfor a problem I had when I was in NC visiting my bro. His Modem went to a router that went to my Xbox and another router that went to My bros Xbox. I could not join his parties he could only join mine. when we were in pregame lobby we couldnt hear eachother on headsets. That is where a tech woulda came in handy. Just an example.
As far as confusing people with the help desk and the tech support dom is offering. People are confused anyways. Their is not many people here that keep threads to topic and its a confusing site already because of that.

That would be a cool position because they could help clan members access the website, things on xbox live and other game types too! BUT IT WOULD BE A POSITION NOT AN ADDED RANK!
