I was wondering if XGC still takes people who do not want to participate in the rank structure but just want to be a part of XGC.

Yes and no.

Everyone is expected to adhere to the Rank Structure BUT if you dont care to put much effort into it, thats fine. Private is the rank which works best for this, because you can remain part of XG, still have tons of friends here, participate in events/tourneys/etc... and nothing is expected of you, aside from maybe an occasional meeting (& respecting the Honor Code).
