Hey did you guys see that Maximus left? I asked him why and he said he just could make the time anymore. He just wants to play. It's sad though because I actually feel the same way. I like being a General but it's hard when I actually have to schedule my whole week around the clan. Sundays I would love to go to Church at night but if I missed the General's meeting every week I would probably be demoted. My wife has gotten upset with me because we have to do this. Does anyone else feel this way?
Why would someone leave a Gaming Community and still continue Gaming?
Being a General does have it's responsibilities but, no one in XG has said you should not have an outside life.
We want good people in the community that get online and play games. If someone can not manage their time with personal life and responsibilities in the community they are free to stay and just be a gamer. We have thousands of gamers in our community.
Leaving the community for personal reasons is usually an excuse for something else.
90% of those people end up asking to come back which drives the leaders crazy as we spend hours dealing with these people when all they had to do is stay where they were.
I will say this again, if people are still going to get online and game, why would they not want to do so in a great community like Xiled Gaming?
If they are not going to ever get online and game, then I can see leaving XG altogether.
As for someone getting demoted for not making meetings, BS.
If someone told you that, please send word to me via private message so I can speak to them.
DO keep in mind that, if you can't make the MANDATORY meetings for Generals and be part of the bigger picture of running the community then yeah, a promotion may not happen. If anyone is in XG just for a promotion, they should go ahead and leave now because that is not why we want to you in the community.

If you are not having FUN then it is your own fault not XG's.
I don't know what vcash is. I've asked before and haven't found out yet. Probably something that was set up, and nothing was ever done with. Thats just a guess though.
As for the time problem. I don't think it's usually as bad as people think. If you have good Captains and LT's, they should be able to handle things in your absence. As far as the meetings go, if you have another General, send him. He can fill you in next time you talk to him. If you don't have another General, how about a General in Training. Talk to K1NG to get permission for him to attend first of coarse, but I wouldn't think it would be a problem. Also in case you didn't know, the General meeting minutes are posted every week, usually the day after the meeting. So usually by Monday or so. If that still doesn't help, add me to your friends list if you don't already have me and I'll fill you in on the meetings. I go to almost all of them.
You have to remember that this is just a game. We have certain responsibilities as Generals of coarse. But there isn't anything that is so important it can't wait until you get back on Halo to deal with. Don't let it stress you out.

I know that its just a game. And I love being a General. But when I do miss Generals meetings I feel like I'm letting people down. As for Clan Meeting I have 2 other Generals in my clan that do nothing. I have been in this clan for 3 weeks and have seen both of them once. Neither one has been to a General, Staff, or Clan meeting that I have seen. If this could be resolved that would be awesome but I have no control over this issue so that is all Im going to say. Hylander and Maynard, thank you for your posts they were encouraging. I love XG, I would never leave. I am a die hard Halo fan I would never stop playing. So why would I leave? It's just sad for me to see good people leaving. But if they want to go they can go. Yes there are some things that don't make sense. But I still have alot to learn.

You can not worry to about the other Generals. If they are not meeting their responsibilities then it will not go unnoticed. Trust me on this. On the other hand, you are the General in the squad and surely you know what your responsibilities are, so, go take care of business best you can. You have other Generals in other squads and section leaders available to assist you when needed.

It's not so much as I need help its that they are taking up space for someone who deserves the position.
