What does everyone think about only generals and up having 2 or more XG tags?
And do you feel captains should have this privelage?

i think i like the way it is i really wanted a second tag when i was a captain but now i see it really was kinda pointless and while generals in up have over two tags they only use them to monitor their clans while a captain should only have 1 clan. There really only usually is one tag that everyone really uses to actually play while the others are just there for the squads

there are reasons i want to captain a second squad the main one is the 6 hour time difference between most of my current squad members. It makes it difficult to participate in clan events etc. There are also reasons i dont want to simply transfer my current tag, and there are reasons why i sort of can't but im not going to share them.

If it is for XGG or the clan from England or something like that you might be able to get approval. ask your General to talk with a SL when they get the chance. If it is to be in two clans like XGC Good Game and XGC Brutality it probably won't happen.
Also this section is for Generals. You have a General that probably would know what to do.

it is for the clan XGC REBEL which was made for European members. I have been told by my general that it is not possible to have 2 xg tags unless you you are general or higher, what i want to know is why? and why can there not be exceptions? such as that in my situation but thats not really for discussion here i can take that up with the right people myself. What i want is for your opinions on this idea.

Sinus, I'm with ya buddy! I love having you in Integrity and I'd hate to see you have to choose one or the other. I'm not a big fan of multiple gamertags with anybody! It takes up too much room on my friends list! But for you, buddy, I'll save a spot.

Thanks but i really know you only have 2 freinds; both my 2 tags jk. but when you reach General and run multiple squads you may have to have multiple gamertags which contradicts your opinion. LOL

I don't think it is much of a problem really. As long as say you have a name like XGC GenericName, you could have a tag like XGC G3n3r1cN4M3. I mean, no one is going to want that tag really, and secondly it is so similar to GenericName that it should not happen. Doesn't necesarrily have to be that complicated could be a 3 subsituted for one "e" but you get the point. As long as they don't have tags that are two completely different names.

I have two tags as a General and it's not a problem for me to be in more than one squad, but that's because I understand my role in each of them. I've seen where some people can and often do spread themselves too thin trying to do too much. I would say that if a Captain is to have more than one tag then it will be helpful if their responsibilities are clearly outlined when they're told they're wanted to just "Help out" in the other squad. Captains are supposed to run the day to day stuff in the squad and they can't do that everywhere, so as long as it's just for training other Captains in another squad I don't see a problem with it, but then again, they can just send the other ones a friend request, right?

As a General I'm told to network with others and seek the advice of my peers when faced with a tough decision and when I do this, I don't have to create another tag and put in their squad first.

I understand that there's times this may be neccessary but I'm just saying I believe it's less often than others may think. One of the reasons I think INNOVATION (My main squad) is running smooth is because I don't spread my Captains too thin, and don't over burden them with other things.

If Generals promoted well, and according to someones leadership abilities instead of other reasons, then this wouldn't even be a discussion topic, so when someone says they need to "borrow" a Captain, where's the real problem? This is not meant to imply anything, but it is something that has to be asked. If my Captains weren't doing their job, then am I as a General who put them there? I wouldn't ask this at all if I didn't hold myself to this standard. As a General, if someone is having trouble doing their jobs, then I need to know if I did mine first in training them BEFORE I promoted them.

Again, if there's someone that's good enough to let them train others, then it's fine, but there's seldom a reason they would need a second tag for that.
