CALLING ALL GENERALS

Looking at some other XGC Squads I stumble upon some nice, organized, full Squads And I thought to myself. Man, how do some of those Generals do that? My Clan is by no means dead, but its hovering around 55 members and I can’t seem to get that # up. Now I have been a general for about 3 months now and I worked my butt off for XGC Impact and it seems to be going nowhere, so I figured to myself if nothings really changed in 3 months, than I am coming at this all wrong and I need to change things. So fellow Generals how about some Advice for me and other Generals who have the same problem. And maybe in return I can give advice to you too. I will not accept Transfer’s.

-Couple of problems are that I have noticed-
No Motivation
No one is really recruiting
Majority of the members aren’t doing there jobs.
Laziness
Chain of Command Ignored
No Forum Activity (what so ever)
Important messages are ignored by majority

Now I know for a fact that some generals have these problems also, I have come up with some solutions myself but I would like to hear what other solutions Generals have.

Try getting your clan playing together more. Maybe have a weekly competition of like FFA or Team games. Or have like a squad vs squad tournament every week. This might interest people to be more motivated and active. Now the forum problem, spam your clan telling them what the website is and make some forum games in your clan's thread. This promotes activity and its fun. Maybe that can help you a little bit.

i have had this problem, it comes and goes sometimes... but the way i fix it is basically i do everything myself.. recruit like 6-10 people and show them how to/and that they should also be recruiting... then when they start recruting then you replace your captains (eventually) with the new guys u just got... and then u basically start over fresh.

Yes I have considered that myself, the problem with me when it comes to recruiting, Im so picky. But I do go out there and try to find people.

And one thing i have noticed in our clan, we are active b.c we r part of the XGL.com and everybody wants to participate.. I recruit myself just as i would as i was a captain... the only thing i change around in my clan is captains if they are not doing there job... start fresh it doesnt hurt.... and if u need a hand holla at me i could give some help.. viciousein02 you are right on the XGL thing, It motivates people to become a active member in the clan.

well snowy don't feel bad warhammer and i had the same problem over in XGLONLINEoCOM. after we split everybody decided that they were going to be lazy and not recruit or do anything. so for awhile warhammer and i were running the clan, but we said **** this and decided to play the demotion card and that changed everyone point of view, now the captains are running the clan and they have the Lt. helping them. and warhammer and i just sit back and observed everything. they are also playing together, cause they decided to get alot of custom games going

Simple, boot them all and start over. LOL!!!!

Just kidding. Please don't do that as I would hate to have to remove your a$$ as you are a great General and person on our community.

Actually this happens all the time. You need something new for those boring people in IMPACT. Make them all go pink for a week or just change colors and symbols altogether.

Then make mandatory custom games that are stupid. Not MLG or BTB. All your people are more serious gamers so you need to lighten it up. Make it a needler only party with stickies. LOL!!

Also, have a comedy night. Call some Wal-Mart stores and ask for halo related stuff like Grunt Repelent or Gaus for your Gaus HOG or Brute Shots or anything.

Karaoke night is generally a fun thing.

You need to get your members to let their hair down a bit.

If none of that works, then boot them all. LOL!!

Well like a week ago I started a needlers game and they all moaned and complained till they forced me to changed it.
