I used to run squads like that. It wasn't so much for them to play that gametype all the time as it was so that at practices they would all be able to help each other, and they'd all be on the same page. It also helps squad unity, because after playing with each other in practice alot of the members start feeling more comfortable going into MM with each other rather than their other friends.

I ran numbered squads before that. Always thought they were better than color squads, much less chaotic looking and confusing to recruits.

i have a friends in XGC and he says his clan doesnt even have squads idk if XGC runs stuff diffrent or da general is lazy

It has nothing to do with laziness -- it is about running your clan in a way that makes it successful and fun. In SPLAT, we did away with squads for a couple months and it went great. We just put color squads back in.

Interestingly enough, I feel like when there are squads in a clan you get some members who are more loyal to a captain or squad than XG as a whole.

Without squads, Captains may not feel as directly responsible for recruiting, educating, and working with newer members of the clan. So, there are advantages and disadvantages to whatever way you choose to run your clan.
