if you have to, replace one of the letters with a number or add clan at the end of it as long as you and your clan know its yours, then it should be fine.

Ya i've recently adopted this way and the members like it so much better then tryin to go through their captains friends lists just to message me as the general. Smart idea Druid and its helped me so much in gettin contact with all the members on live although we all know the website is easier

well, there is still alot of people who dont use the website and just find it easier to use xbox live. everyone has there preference so this is for the people who want to stay connected on xbox live.

I put this system into effect and its working out just fine for me and my clan.

I'm glad to hear that. Just make sure you keep updating your squad list on the 1st and 15th and make sure your clan members know whats going on in the rest of XG. its your job to make sure they get that information.
