I have read many replies to potential recruits and new members. Many of them are scary. They are scary because it seems that all people can say to anyone is that OUR CLAN PLAYS CoD or HALO. No one ever posts what Xiled Gaming is. Heck, no one even tries to explain anything. We preach QUALITY over QUANTITY yet the actions on these replies suggest the opposite. If we want gamers that arent going to leave or quit...we need to start when we answer their initial questions. As a General, I challenge my Captains to give a FULL ACCOUNT of our community. We actually talk about all aspects of the commuinty, not just what game we play. I, as a General, sit in on the recruiting process and afterwards, EDUCATE my Captains on what they missed. It may seem mundane, but in the end, we get the results we want. Below I posted a copy of my post to someone looking to join XiledGaming. It took all of 5 minutes but in the end, when I (or someone else) follow up with him, they will know what to expect from XGC. And if they were to say, I just want to game (like many of my people FIRST SAID), you can then sell them one the fact that WE HAVE MANY GAMERS THAT DO JUST THAT. I am not slamming anyones response, I am just saying, if we want people to POST, PLAY CLANCOMPETE, do DESIGN TEAM, do NEWS TEAM or even just ayttend our meetings, we need to educate them that we are a COMPLETE GAMING COMMUNITY. I welcome your replies (good or bad) because I know everyone in leadership within XG has some issue with retention or recruiting. As a business owner and a former soldier and Human Resource Manager, I focus on the methodology. From "womb to tomb" there is always something that we need to fix to get the results we want.
