Has anyone else noticed since christmas, how there are alot more kids playing black ops talking smack and generally ruining the game. This is the main reason why i stopped playing MW2. I just don't get why some of these parents buy this type of game for kids as young as 8 to 10. I mean come on people the last person that needs to be desensatized to video game violence is a 8 year old. Teenagers are another thing altogether because by the time they get there copy of Black Ops they are pretty much are set in there ways and talking trash is just part of there personality, but kids under 14 in my opinion should not be playing this type of game.

Maybe I am just old school but having both kids who are now grown and now grandkids, I would never ever by a game like this for my grandson. Because what I have seen so far is it tends to bring out the worst in kids. Last night I was playing Hard Core Team Death Match and after the first game some pre-teen gets on there and starts in about how bad he is and how he is going to come to my house to beat me up, so i muted him and then he starts sending me text messages. I mean it was crazy, so I filed a complaint and did a player review, but to file a complaint with X-box to me seems like a exercise in futility because they really don't ban anyone or do anything about it.

DEGENERATION OF BLACK OPS

Degeneration of Black Ops

You know i played the very first Halo game but it just wasn't a favorite game of mine. So i really don't have to deal with the kids on Halo and the Kids on Black Ops I think that would actually make me give up gaming lol

Thats one reason why I quit playing COD and Halo series, thier really main steam-so every 12 year old gets the game and are too immature to deal with.

Block communications & mute. If they keep bothering you send a message to one of the XBLPET, they actually deal with problem makers in very good time.
This always happens around xmas, on all consoles. Some spoilt little kids get on their new game(s) and act like they own the place.

I had a few that got the jist I was female and followed me around the whole match, if I ever stopped to put down equipment somewhere i.e motion sensor in a corner they would trap me there, then start sending text messages, usually ending in all of us being killed by the enemy. And because it was core TDM I couldn't just cook a grenade and triple suicide like I would if it was on HC lol.

A few weeks and they'll get bored and move onto the next thing that comes out.

I like the fact that now you can be in party chat and play hardcore TDM. That resolves that issue right away. Now as for the message just block them.

yeah i have ran into that situation a lot the little kids mostly play S&D but i just either mute them or learn to ignore them and teach them a lesson on how to play the game without a noobtube

I don't know whats wrong with parents these days.. I was talking one lady and she told me her 9 year plays black ops..I asked why should buy a game for a child so young. Her response, 'I wanted him to stop bugging me about buying the game for him'. I may not have children myself, but you would think some parents have more backbone and tell their kids that no means no. I would never buy a child a game that is too violent. Theres a reason why they have game ratings. And parents blame the makers of the game sometimes stating 'it's too violent' well gee I wonder how your child got the game in the first place.

Exactly. I ran into two 10 and 11 year old kids yesterday (very talkative I must say, I think I know half of their life stories now :p) and now I must question how young is too young.. These two were very willing to give away personal information to me and others so I'm surprised that the parents aren't more concerned with their privacy rather than the violence.
I believe one of the kids was even talking to his mother/father while playing all very happy about he had 'just made a new friend'. For all they know I could be some pedophile/ e-stalker more dangerous than the graphic violence portrayed in the game, yet they're very content with their son giving away full name, age, location etc to the other kid (and in doing so the whole game lobby).

Just mute them, then block contact with them if they start harassing you.
Eventually, i'm assuming at least; That they'll get tired of never having anyone to talk to and clue in, or just stop playing all together.
