My recommendations would be to stay away from areas that have people smoking cigarettes, keep distant from friends that smoke (especially if they peer pressure), think of different things to do when it pops up in your head (work out, go for a jog, watch a movie, read a book .. things to keep your mind busy), sunflower seeds help very much or chewing gum, and since I smoked for quite some time especially while driving I would hold a pen in the middle of my fingers and chew sun flower seeds.
