QUALITIES OF A GREAT LEADER

hey guys, i have this posted in all the clan's i've ever been in, so i'm posting it here now. I don't care what you do to this thread, you can post it in your own clan if you'd like but i'd like to share it with you.

A leader is someone whom others follow. People turn to leaders for help, answers, and guidance. Leaders have power and respect, but being a leader is more than just having people listen to you. Great leaders inspire their followers to lead; they teach others to make decisions for themselves. But more importantly, a great leader earns the trust and respect of those around him.

How does one become a great leader? Through EXPERIENCE and having an OPEN MIND. Experience is gained through time and trial, but an open mind is an attitude you must choose to take. Are you willing to learn from your leaders and followers to become truly great?

To give you a push in the right direction, several leadership qualities are listed below. Read through each of them and determine which qualities you have and don't have. Even if you don't have any, it is still possible to develop one or all of them. However, don't expect it to be easy to master all or even any of these qualities; they can be challenging, and all KoG leaders have their strengths and weaknesses.

It is suggested that you start with patience and dedication; with these in your pocket, you can develop the rest of the qualities with enough experience. Without patience, you will do rash things that you will later regret, and you might sabotage your efforts. Without dedication, you'll never put in the necessary work to gain the experience to develop the rest of the qualities.

QUALITIES OF A GREAT LEADER.
A great leader is:

--TRUSTWORTHY --
"You do what you're supposed to do." Your words and actions lead everyone to know that you can be trusted. You can be left alone without someone directly monitoring you at all times. You would NEVER abuse the power and/or authority of your position.

--RESPONSIBLE--
"You take care of business." You don't forget to handle your obligations, and you take care of them in a timely manner. You also make sure that all the lower ranks you are responsible for fulfill all of their responsibilities.

--KNOWLEDGEABLE--
"You know your stuff." You know the rules and procedures to be followed in your region and KoG in general. You know what the responsibilities as a leader in your position are, and you know what to expect from all other ranks. If you do not know something, you aren't afraid to ask.

--STERNFUL--
"You don't let people walk all over you." You don't allow anyone to break the rules. You let everyone know when they are "in the wrong," and you take care of it.

--FAIR--
"You give people what they deserve." You help promote the people that deserve it. You don't "over punish" anyone. You give all members an equal opportunity to succeed. You don't have favorites, and you don't hold grudges.

--RESPECTFUL--
"You are well-mannered." You are courteous to everyone. You are not overly harsh with criticism. You are not overly blunt. You always try to speak in a manner that will not offend anyone.

--PATIENT--
"You can wait for what you want." You give your everyone (even your leaders) time to get things done. You do not become irritable while waiting to get what you want. You are compliant while you wait.

--DEDICATED--
"You never give up." You go above and beyond your responsibilities to get things done. You stick with something until it's accomplished. You keep going no matter what.

If you stick with these qualities you will soon come to realise that you've become not only a better leader, but you have become a person of better quality.

that was a good post, and the longer ive been in the easier it is for me to just look at my captains and sort out the leaders, its not that hard to tell because when you get a good leader they just stand out, kudos for the great post
