as the 20th of april fastly aproaches i think we should take a look at the usage of marijuania. as some of you know i am againts the prohibition of pot and thats exactly what it is "prohibition." sense were doomed to repeat our histiory let's take a look at it shall we? in the 1920's and 1930's the govertment decided to take action againts alchohol. they banned all intoxicated beverages and closed all bars and brewing factories. But people wanted their liquor and so a huge demand was made and where theres demand theirs supply. so what happend you ask? huge gangs and black market vendors started producing alchohol and thousands were killed by poorly made beer and even more were killed in the intense gang battles over it. theres only one way to solve problems in a balck market "Violence." the govertment finally found there head and made it legal again and there was an immediate stop when brewing was placed back in the hands of professionals.
not to mention all the tax money made by the govertment which ill bring up later.
Now in 1964 Richard Nixon declared a war on drugs and formed the DEA. no many legalist think this was a bad thing and it was for marijuania but not many other dangerous drugs like cocaine and heroin. In 1964 25 million dollars of our money was thrown to waste a year. In 2006 over 30 billion dollars was wasted on this stupid pointless war. but what else gets this country excited like a war does? Nothing.
everyone knows it the war on drugs is a failure. drugs are more popular now than in the 60's.but the media will show you every now and then a huge bust or takedown of a drug ring. but with the profit there is to be made another ring will pop up imediatly.
Now marijuania is not a drug its a plant. drugs you manufacture, make and mix with other chemicals. marijuania grows like that! now in the debates i do i always hear the common exscuse that its a gateway drug. i bet you can smell the bull**** right through your monitor. in almost every case alcohol or tobacco was the first used substance. but why arent you hearing of these being a gateway drug? because there legal and bring in huge revenue for the white house. to put things in perspective for you the 3 most popular narcotics are:
1.Tobacco
2.Alchohol
3.Marijuania
now heres the death rate:
tobacco
122,000 deaths a year
alcohol
56,000 deaths a year
marijuania
not a single recorded death ever!
you simply can not overdose on weed its not toxic enough!

now 78% of americans think drugs should remain illegal but 96% of americans think the war on drugs is failing. is that not contradicting it self.

in 2006 marijuania was the biggest cash crop in the world. bigger than corn, rice, flour everything!

it costs 22,000 dollars to keep a pothead looked up in a cell alot more than him living on your coach. we are throwing innocent hard working people in jail for a bull**** law. this people have lives and families and jobs there not all criminals.

the solution:
legalize marijuania and have it be taxed by the govertment like tobacco and alcohol. have harder laws againts real drugs like meth and cocaine.

simply put marijuania is on prohibiton.
free mary jane.

Just one more substance society will abuse on a larger scale if legalized and end up killing people because of its effects on people behind the wheel.

Or maybe by legalizing it, more people will not want to use marijuana because it takes the whole, i might get caught anxiety feeling away from it.

marijuainia would only be taxable to people who would buy it just like tobacco. you don't pay taxes on a cigareete unlesss you buy em.
