I had 14 defends and 5 caps a couple of weeks ago in core/domination. But I need to get my kill up higher. It varies so much. I would like to be more proficient. I am mostly running a scorpion with rapid fire, fore grip, hardline, flack jacket, engineer, and a sticky grenade. It this a good load out for close quarters?

In my opinion the rapid fire is not a good attachment cause it makes the recoil terrible and the fore grip doesn't do much to stop it
I play a little different from you and I get about 30-40 kills a game if not more. I play very agrro, it helps to know the chokepoints of each map. THat way you can effectivly take out enemies and rack up on the kills.
With that load out I would personally recommend running Scorpion with Laser , and QuickDraw with Lightweight or Flak Jacket , Toughness and maybe Dexterity or Extreme Conditioning but for the scorpion you don't need rapid fire on it due to it's fire rate
