There is no reason to go around lying about that here anyways, 99% of the people here don't have a clue what points are, how they work, or how you would get them. If you had any points you would be on the MLG forums posting.

Lol, Mr Bill, you seem to be everywhere possible. Which is a bad thing of course, especially since I have seen some of your posts (just think about "So you wanna come home thread"). Implying that someone is lying or being plain rude isn't necessarily very community-like of you. Bashing other members and stirring up drama on the forums is grounds for being banned, you should know about that, just look at some of your friends and what their actions have led to.

I have no problem with him as a person, he's on my friends list and lives in the same city as me for christ's sake. The fact is he has no points.
How would I be the one stirring up drama? He is the one who is coming on here posting lies about having points from attending MLG events. What happens if someone looking for a team decides to team with this guy because of what he posted and then Courta has to tell him "Oh hey, I actually have no points and no event experience." How much drama will that cause?
I'm actually doing him a favor. Its not cheap to book a hotel, pay for a team pass, pay for a flight/gas to get to an event, then you have to pay for food as well. So tell me, when he fools people into thinking that he has 16.5 points and they just so happen to take his word for it and then they find out that every single one of them spent hundreds of dollars on a lie that this guy fed them what is going to happen? I would be pissed as **** if I was in that situation.
Sorry to disappoint you Deadeye, but I make my posts based on actual knowledge and not just the blind trust of someone's word who I don't know. This guy's name is NOWHERE on the list for people who have points.
Everyone who has points knows how many they have and what events they got them at. So Courta, I am begging you to prove me wrong. I would like to know what event you attended, what place you got, what your team name was along with names of your team mates. If you can provide that information and can prove it I will give you $50 in cash at the next local LAN that you show up to.
Its one thing to look for team mates on this site. I would even throw in a good word for you even though I barely know you. Its another thing to just completely lie.
And Deadeye, since you felt the need to bring up the "So you want to come home" thread I will be happily obliged to respond to that. What do you know about the situation? Please, tell me. I would bet absolutely nothing. I've known the guy for years. OCM herself said that if we had relevant information to come and post it otherwise stay out. I had relevant information and it was ignored. Oh well. When she asked me to stop posting I did. So now I ask you, is it very community-like to bring up old drama that was over and bring it back to life in a post that was wrongfully point the finger at someone who was doing the right thing?
What do my friends have to do with anything in this situation? I'm not them. So I play Halo with them. That doesn't necessarily mean I share all of their opinions and do the same things that they do, does it?

i think what deadeye was trying to say is its kinda sad watching u go around putting you're 2 cents in on every topic imaginable when you arent even in the community. Its entirely believeable that this kog court guy is full of it and its possible that you may have some sort of key info to give on the come home thread, and you may even have some good ideas on clan compete. That doesnt mean though that you have to stalk every damn thread with you're arrogant i know it all attitude. get a life.
on a side note me and deadeye both know the person wanting to get back in and from what we know i'm thankful of OCM's decision.
also anyone willing to spend that kinda money to compete in mlg plus the fact that anyone who knows about the point system would have the sense to make sure he was telling the truth. besides we both know the chances of him finding people on this site that dedicated to mlg are slim to none. so jus man up and admit you were more interested in creating drama than trying to look out for a community that you arent a part of.

Not necessarily. Some people go for fun. If someone lies to you its not just about that they didn't have to points, its that they weren't being truthful and do you really want to be in the community with a person who will lie to you? Its not a good experience.
Oh, and I'm part of the MLG community and I'm looking out for that community and myself by not letting him give me and other people associated with that a bad rep by coming here to a casual gamer's paradise and spreading false information. I wasn't looking to create drama. I would have left my post as it was, but other people who don't the full workings of something decided to come in here and throw in their two cents.
But hey, why don't you come back with the real reason why you came in and attacked my opinion and not just resort to throwing around that I hate this community so much that I just had to come here and create drama. Because that's not why I posted what I did.
