So, i just made a social group called anime haters. i know im going to get a loaaaaadddddd of crap for it but i dont care. i just wanna hear opinions and see if im not the only one who hates anime. teehee yours truly dubzworth.

haha thats funny. at least one person agrees with me. believe me guys i tried to like it. i attempted to watch whatever crap they put on adult swim. ive attempted to watch whatever they put on anime nights on sci-fi. id get maybe 5 minutes into the show and id realize, this is probably the worst excuse for a form of entertainment ever. and no rome. i dont watch ben ten thanks. if i watch tv then i usually watch comedy central or mtv or vh1. and occasionly fresh prince if its real late at night. but i dont understand how you guys can put yourself through the torture of a half hour of cartoons fighting? i dont know. (P.S zelkova's right i reallllyyy didnt want this to turn into a forum war i just wanted to see if there were anybody else out there that actually didnt like anime cuz the majority of ppl on xbl do.)
I think you guys are watching all of the bad stuff that comes on Adult swim that stuff is intended for the younger generations of anime viewers. I mean here is a good list of stuff to watch but you got to find what type of anime you like. You got to remember the reason anime was created was so that people could find a cheaper way to create movies and shows, so that being said you have all types of anime. You have comedy, action, horror, mystery, i could go on forever. You'd be supprised what you would like. I had a friend who watches all the anime crap and he just introduced me to DBZ I though it was a kiddy show and i was embarrased to watcn it, but i was wrong it is a great show. So give other stuff a chance and dont watch that crap on adult swim. Good anime is kinda like treasure its not gonna just sit there right in front of you, you actually have to look for it on the web.
yeah i dont have the want to LOOK for anime. my mind was made up when i turned on sci-fi on the anime night specials they have. i watched maybe 10 minutes of this one thing and i was like nope anime isnt for me.
thats cool but the good stuff is out there and unless look for it your not gonna find it. Adult swim and the sci-fi channel do a horrible job with it. I wouldn't like it either if that is all i had to watch.
I don't really like anime either. My brother was always obsessed with it, so it's something I could never get into because my brother just always talked about it... his whole life revolved around it... everything he owned, everything he did was anime. So I got annoyed of it.
But I will say, I do believe there is a difference between anime and cartoon. And I really don't consider something like Family Guy to be an "anime". It's hard to explain, I just still think there's a major difference. I've heard it three times now of people saying Family Guy is an anime.

Books are considered MANGA, T.V. shows and movies are considered ANIME, Family Guy is considered to be a CARTOON. Yeas the books are kinda dumb in my opinoin,but the shows that you have to find like Trinity Blood and Blood+ those are all to gory and the language is to strong to show on T.V. those are the good ones.
yea thats not anime. Thats a cartoon. Shows like Afro Samurai are good ones.
