[QUOTE="blondiizzle, post: 6492, member: 258"] For all of you who didn't read all 12 pages of this thread, here is a quick recap... kind of... lol: (note - discussion about how Microsoft Games Studios is involved with all 360 games went here, but individual software developing companies also are involved, bungie did not work on Gears.) Ok all. Spamming their forums is NOT going to resolve any issues for us. We lost this battle a long time ago, and bungie is not to blame. The corporate mentality that we are dealing with has to take in to consideration the partnership between MS and Bungie. We are looking at how to deal with this out of habit (we were founded in H2, so this is our viewpoint, and we need to take a look at the bigger picture.) IF (from MS's standpoint) they were to look at the idea of funding their companies servers (Bungie) to handle clans, or, they look at improving ALL of the games that they put out, and the overall gaming experience on XBL for everyone, then what do they do to MAKE MONEY? Keep people on ALL games, purchasing ALL games. If they are going to take the leap and provide us with clans, it will not solely be on H3 that they fund. It is does not make good business sense to take a huge product such as XBox Live and then tie it down (again, I might add) to a specific game, just because of features in that game. Yes, Halo 2 was their stepping stone to getting gamers addicted to gaming on their console. But, now they they have "finished the fight", how are they going to keep gamers coming BACK to other games, staying on other games, and developing huge gaming communities such as ours, that live and breathe gaming on a daily basis and keep feeding their pockets, then yes, the only sensible solution for them is to provide clan lists in the dashboard. Maybe they will somehow be linked by game, we don't know. But I do know that this is a corporate decision that probably already has a five-year game plan in the works, any games that are to be coming out from here on out will know about this and adapt to it. We, as consumers, must trust in the fact that they are aware of our desires and needs, and will anticipate them and fulfill them. MS has already provided us gamers with such great features as achievements and gamerscore and our friends lists and so on and so forth, that it would behoove us to have patience and trust in the fact that they have done the market research and understand our needs. What we can do as a community is to anticipate the possibilities, and be ready with the information about our squads and responsibilities to adapt to whatever they decide to do. The show must go on, and we have great leaders in place with a great understanding of their people and their responsibilities. The best thing for us all to do is get ready to move forward and grow, because that is what is going to happen, no matter what the circumstances! Then you wouldn't have to worry about who spent what time on what game, because no matter, they would still be meeting other people in other games and recruiting... oh, what a beautiful thing...)
