halo 2 is actually not dead yet... some guys started playing halo 2 on the last night it was available, and they have not stopped playing yet... microsoft (last i heard) has not kicked them out, they will let the game continue until it's over, which will be i'm sure until all of those guys lose their connection. i don't think you can join their game, but there was 12 people left the last i heard
