Yeah, those Ez cap cards are okay, I've had one, wasn't great but it is very cheap and a good platform to get started with. Main reason it didn't work well is they're more or less designed for NTSC tv's and down here we use PAL.

yeah that AverMedia Game Capture HD is the one i might get i records in 1080i or 720p Realtime and you dont need a really good computer to use it just a USB, internal or external hard drive but you still need a computer to edit it

its just you dont need a computer if you dont want to do a commentary over it and you dont need an insane Graphics card to run it

not sure what kind of graphics card i have but i just need something to make basic videos but i want to be able to have good editing. i heard Roxio works with non hd tvs but they are $100 so idk

there is a code for the roxio capture card it brings it to 70 dollars i can find it for you

Dazzle and EasyCap are both great standard definition capture cards. You pay a little more for the Dazzle but the quality shows.

Also, I would recommend buying a S-Video cable to help out your quality.
