I was talking to some XGC gererals and i found out that a lot of them have their squads split up into different MM squads, such as a T Slayer squad, Swat Squad, Skirmish, ect. the member picks the squad he/she likes the best and plays that game type mostly with other members in that squad. they said that it keeps everyone active with other members in the clan and i would agree. Does anyone here in KoG run their squads like this? i am thinking about running my new clan with this method.

Funny thing, if you checkout the clan structure information in the About and other areas of the forums you will find that the basic clan structure has always been as follows
1 General per 30 members, 1 Captain and 1 LT with 8 members under them.

I have had squads with no smaller squads and some that have game type squads and others that have colored squads like Blue Squad, Red Squad, etc..

I always went to color squads because it gave more freedom to do different things within those squads rather then putting 8 people that do nothing but snipers all day. It is much easier to have a mixed group in your squad as you have more options when playing matchmaking and against others.

Squads are a good thing for promoting activity, competition and keeping things organized.

its not like they would have to play the MM playlist, its just a way to join a squad that has a MM play list that they are interested in and to have people that are also interested in it. this would just be a way to meet people that are interested in the same things

not every clan runs with squads i know many clans tyhat wait until they have around 30 members and then they have a draft whwere the captains pick people for there squads. also i think it is a better idea to keep sqauds mixed up that way if you have maybe your red squad witch is only good with snipers playing a slayer match its not lobsided. bassically mix the skill up in your squads so when there in matches againts ther squads they have someone good at slayer a guy with skirmish etc.

as far as the squads go, I think my clan has the best of both worlds. We split our members into color squads based on rank, with each squad having a capain, lt. and about 6 other members (we only have 50 members right now), and then separately, we have squads for the different clan compete ladders we are in. They are run by the captains as well, but are diff. from the color squads. We had tryouts for these other squads, but just did a draft-style pick for the color squads, I think this nicely organizes the clan and then also helps specialize the groups.

I would recommend color squads only, because using certain game squads would separate the clan based on what mm they play. Also one squad may get really large based on whether more people enjoy what type of mm!!I truly would recommend color squads for a general to run their clan. Besides, who really would want to be in a sniper squad when you were having squad battles? It is best to have evenly distributed members of squads!
