no glare with the sun unlike the Ipad and its a lot cheaper it does everything the same not to sure on the Quality of the graphics but i would go look at it in person at a store

i bought my wife one, i have an iPad 2 and she likes the fire more than the iPad i personally like my iPad mainly because i can do more with it, the fire does have some great qualities, basically if u want apps and music and movies go with the iPad if u want to read and have amazon prime go with the fire

i prefer the fire over the ipad since the ipad doesnt support flash or w.e , but i have a acer iconia a100
basically the same as a fire with a camera and more memory.
