Remember, try to keep the file size as small as possible. When you start getting into megs, that will cause issues too more so for mobile devices. Computers not as much. Rule of thumb try to keep it under a meg. Use your best judgment when it comes to file size. If I think it is too large when I go to upload it, then I will reject the image.

Sorry, PNG and GIF only. When you start dealing with videos then plugins will be required. This start causing problems when you view through different browsers and mobile devices. Members posting a video on the site gets handled automatically with a hack mod that I have. Unfortunately, that doesn't work for the forum banners as that is done hard coded via HTML.
