A leader is someone who is there for their members. But what does "being there" mean? That means getting on the Xbox and communicating. Yes, voxer, text message, kik, etc. is a great tool for communication, but it is just that.... a tool. It shouldn't be used as your sole and only source of communication.
Your members need to see you. Obviously, we cannot see each other in an Xbox party or a game lobby, but in a sense that is you and your members seeing each other and hanging out. It gives your members that sense of being there. Being there to game with and have fun. Being there to answer questions and solve issues. Being there just to have that friendship. We joined a clan to talk on the Xbox and to game with each other. We didn't join a clan to vox back and forth. That's not why we joined a clan.
So my question to you is what kind of leader you are? Are you an Xbox leader in the greatest community in the world? Or are you a voxer leader? Someone who just ask and answers questions.
At the end of the day, voxer or kik leaders will not succeed. Your members need to see you and know who you are. Be there for your members. See your members. Do these things and your members will be happier and know they have someone there for them.
