I remember the first half of the Greek alphabet from my college days but I really need to memorize the whole thing to help with "letter before/after" clues. Learning Roman numerals would also be helpful. What else would you study to get better at crosswords? I feel like my question was misunderstood, and maybe it’s how I worded it. I already know common and understand how word tense is clued. I was looking for facts or word lists that are useful - kind of like studying for Jeopardy but narrower in scope.
