all these new sites trying to get into style. as if myspace and facebook isnt enough theres twitter, blogspot, and tumblr. whats the point of all this, really?

networking... people like to link up... and there's so many out there for variety because the concept is new... think about how many instant messengers people used to use... eventually it will dwindle down to the best sites and the crappy ones will vanish, but right now people will sign up for all of them
that seems reasonable. no offense to the ppl who go with this but, if you have more than 2 i think thats just plain ridiculous.
I used to only run myspace, but after people insisted i got facebook and i actually like it better and will never pick up another site. Myspace and facebook is all you need!
I'd have to agree w/ both of you guys. yes, using more than one of those sites is borderline ridiculous, just because most have similar features/services... (I'll use facebook, MS & occasionally twitter if my boss is away on business)
BUT theyre also a fantastic way to network among friends, old school buddies, work contacts, friends of friends, etc... theyre breaking into a new social area, and i guess each site is trying to find their own niche, or area/service they can provide better than anyone else.
