No community is perfect, and there have absolutely been situations where leadership has fallen short. At the same time, broad statements like “nobody cares” or “nothing is ever done” rarely tell the whole story.The chain of command exists for a reason, and there has always been an open-door policy if something isn’t being handled at one level. Does that mean every outcome is what someone wants? No. But not every report results in public action either, and that’s often misunderstood.The other thing I’d say is that XGC has always been what you make of it. Some people build lifelong friendships, some don’t click with their section, and some have legitimate complaints. All of those experiences can exist at the same time without one person’s experience defining the entire community.If someone has evidence of serious misconduct, it should absolutely be reported through the proper channels. If it’s handled poorly, keep going up the chain. But if we’re going to criticize leadership, we should also avoid turning individual experiences into blanket statements about thousands of members.Constructive feedback helps communities improve. Generalizing that everyone is corrupt or toxic doesn’t.</blockquote>
