It’s not Halloween yet.
I know but Fortnite’s 6th season is.

If you couldn’t tell by my terrible joke, Fortnite just started its 6th season. Which involves the loaded question “Should I get the season pass this season? Is it worth the $10 or $25?” depending on which pass you get. Well I’m here to help fix that question, and help you decide if you want to get the season pass. As well as give you a review over of how this season is so far, and with any changes that are new to this season.
This season of Fortnite like all seasons is centered on a theme. This season is mainly centered on Halloween. With some spooky skins that you can earn through the battle pass, as well as some that you can buy outside the pass. On top of that there’s dances, emotes, and even banners that have one form of connection to Halloween. My personal favorite from the battle pass is the Fable skin, or as I like to call it Deadly Red Riding Hood.

As always, if you get the pass you unlock two exclusive characters to that season. Those characters being Calamity(The one in the middle of the picture) which you can level up to different stages to earn extra accessories to make her into what you see in the picture. The other one you get is DJ Yonder(2nd from the left) which doesn’t have a leveling up system like Calamity. You also get the ability to earn XP boosts with the pass for you and your friends. Lastly, you are able to unlock the final character of that season which in this case is Dire, and just like Calamity he can level up but turns into multiple different colored werewolves.

Along with those reasons to buy the battle, pass there were some changes made to Fortnite for this season. One of which is the addition of pets which are only accessible as of now through the pass. You get to choose from a Bonesy the dog, Camo the chameleon, and finally Scales the dragon. Another addition this season is the ability to customize your controller scheme which was previously not available. They also vaulted some items as well for instance: Impulse Grenades, Suppressed Sub-machine guns, Light Machine Guns, Bouncers, and Remote Explosives. Lastly they changed the map up quite a bit like every season. These changes are making Loot Lake a floating island that goes around the map in various spots, and a hunted castle on top of one of the bigger hills. There’s are a couple more changes, but I don’t want to spoil the surprise of playing it first-hand.

Overall this Season looks like a good season, and definitely worth the pass. Plus if you get the pass now, you can save up the free V-bucks they give you throughout the season, and use it to get the pass next season as well! If your favorite holiday is Halloween this season is a must play.
