Hmmm...I'm a senior in high school and about to graduate, which do you think would be a better graduation present? A PS3 with a few games such as the Final Fantasy XIIIs (I think there are/will be more than 1) and Metal Gear 4 that I will use as a passtime during college along with my xbox or a bran new laptop (the computer I have now is dinosuar, lol) that I will actually use in college. If a laptop, what would you recomend?

lol. sorry.

A new laptop with whatever high techy advancements it comes with...

...or...

A PS3 with games of titles I liked back when I had a PS2 but was too poor to get a PS3 (even though for some reason I wasn't broke enough to afford xbox membership, weird)

a PS3 won't help you plagiarize!!! here's what you need for college...
1. a laptop
2. something that will play guitar hero (u already have a 360)
3. ping pong balls
4. dixie cups
5. a flat surface elevated 4 feet in the air (anything will do, my one college buddy took the kitchen door off of its hinges and put it on sawhorses)
6. beverages

have fun

that would be correct so just buy FF13 on the 360 and a PS3 won't be necessary

that is true except that FF XIII Versus or whatever the PS3 exclusive one is. I already plan to get the Xbox 360 one. Also I heard that the ps3 version had a FF7 remake or demo. That may only be with the Japanese version though.

Don't ever buy a toshiba laptop. I would still definitely agree that you need a laptop. With my experience in college, if I had a dinosaur laptop, I would die. You need a fully functional laptop for college. If your looking for a laptop to surf, type papers, and listen to music definitely go with a PC. Mac's are awesome don;t get me wrong, but a lot of the time, college aren't running mac systems, posing you at a risk for non-compatibility. Also, Mac's are just super trendy unless your actually buying it for graphic design and/or other Multimedia purposes.

Save your money for Books! j/k but seriously save some money! Laptop definitely, and I would suggest putting away the Xbox for the first semester just so you can get used to college life and studying. Just a suggestion:) Trust me I know!

K, laptop it is. I'll just hold out on the ps3 for a year or two if it isn't outdated by then. Oh and to Coleslaw, I'm moving to college. Far enough to get away from the house but close enough in case I run into any trouble.
