Message: <blockquote data-quote="XDC Dragonfire029" data-source="post: 467075" data-attributes="member: 65062"><p>when playing battlefield you generally want to be completely alert of your surroundings and ready to aim and shoot any opponent that you see. don't get tunnel vision and focus on only one thing. scan the entire screen for movement that could possibly be another player. other than that try and treat it like it was real life. don't take unnecessary risks unless you are almost positive you will walk away from it in the end. not always an easy thing to judge but something to think of. check corners and strafe into rooms in the direction you think the enemy is most likely to be so hopefully you have a chance at pulling the trigger first. don't take a vehicle head on. if your sure you can take it a sneak attack is always the better option. snipers generally try to use high ground ( mountains, hills, roofs, multi story windows ) so watch out for that. if your unsure wether an enemy is in the building next to you put an explosive into it ( grenade, rocket, c4, etc ).  use automatic fire at close range and burst/ semi at medium to long range. the pistol is usually a great option if you don't have time to reload, or are out of primary ammo (I prefer the 44. magnum but the outhers are good too). communicate with your squad          ( provided they have mics ) and even if you get downed they might be able to drop the guy who got you and then pick you back up.
