It would be better stated; "Literal definitions lie within societal definitions." Neither are accepted without question. To exist without question, would result in the Human Race being a bore. Websters or any other conglomeration of definitions, are simply the tools by which our conclusions are met. Meanwhile, there has been no other definition offered, literal or societal. Until one is offered, I'll agree with you Coleslaw. And to circumvent the boredom created by accepting without question, I'll ask a rhetorical question in a facetiously cynical manner, "Why is there thread hijacking happening by going off topic."
