So Im curious. How long has xbox live been down today? It wont let me sign in or anything since they're doing maintenance. I came home hoping to finish recording some of my videos to post on youtube and hold a training class for my squad. did it just recently go down or has it been an all day thing?

Yeah I've had the same problem all day. If you go to http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status and sign in, it will tell you what's going on. Millions of people right now can't connect; apparently all the servers are down.

yea i went to xbox.com/status like the xbox live test thing said. i saw whats going on. just curious how long its been going on. usually can figure how much longer it will be until its back on. doesnt always work that way but some times it does.

All I know is it's a good thing we have the Xiled forums I was freaked out when I couldn't sign in even after going to xbox support until I came here and saw I'm not the only one having the problem. Thaaank you Xiled Gaming!

lmao hey i was freaking out too. i ran to my modem to see if it was working then ran the connection test and checked xbox live site. came here and posted this thread.

Xbox live seems to be up and running, but it won't let me send messages or get a party going. Is anyone else having this problem? It's horribly inconvenient considering it's double XP weekend!

i havent tried. i had a message from before which i checked. sent a message thru my computer but i havent had any replies. not sure if they even received it now since i read your post.

Im still having problems with sending out messages or invites. I cant sign in on my computer or phone. This really sucks,we have a CC match tonight that I think we are going to have to postpone. I did not hear anything about it going down in advanced. Maybe Microsoft can learn something from XG about maintenance!

Also way to go MS for doing this on Double XP weekend!

Dang that was a very frustrating night on the server! I couldn't get, send or do anything. I too reset my Internet and wifi. Cleared my cashe restarted my Xbox, but nothing was working. Finally after 1.5 hours the server came back up and we could once again get game invites, messages and the whole nine yards.

yeah it was I had a squad meeting I couldn't go to cause of it cause I couldn't receive messages or invites
