Meeting Notes:
Meeting notes should be posted after every weekly clan meeting within your clan forums. Let's ensure this is being accomplished for the members who are not able to make it to the meetings, and/or for the Division Leaders knowledge of what is going on in the clan.

Clan List:
The 1st and 15th of each month clan list are due. Updating and reposting your clan list is a requirement on these dates. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS – If there is no way this can be accomplished, turn to your Section Leader to get them done.

[360 General's]Transfers to the Xbox One:
When a member comes to you with a request to transfer to the Xbox One you will bring that request to your Section Leader. Do not try and communicate the transfer with anyone on the one. the Section Leader will then bring the request up to the XD's. The Division Leader will be handling all transfers to the one.

Warnings:
There is no such thing as an "unofficial warning ". Now to clarify, you can talk to someone about an issue without issuing a warning. However, these conversations are not to be counted as part of the warning system. For example, we should not hear about someone getting kicked for 1 official warning and 2 unofficial warnings. -XGC PENGUIN XC

User Group Removal Request:
When posting removal requests, be DETAILED on exact reasons for the removal. "Drama" and "disrespect" are blanket terms and are examples of things that need to be elaborated on. However, when you are adding the information about a member who left for personal reasons, be sure that you don’t elaborate too much into their personal life.

Clan Names:
Clan name evaluations hold close to the same expectation of approving name changes. Clan names should be 100% appropriate, represent SYNdicate well, and should NOT contain a controversial topic/meaning. Naming your clan should be something that you are proud of, not ashamed of. Make it your own.

Open Door:
As leaders that are wanting to grow their knowledge, it is great to expand your name to other leaders and people within the community. It is extremely encouraged to take the time to get to know your subordinates, peers, and superiors throughout the community! Do not ever hesitate or be scared to contact these leaders, just make it worth yours and their time!

Member of the Community
What is the rank when a member is officially apart of the community? Sergeant! This is when the member has the opportunity to change their gamer tag, recruit people in on their own, and so much more. When we bring recruits into the community, one of our main goals for those members is to get them up to the rank of Sergeant. If there are users who are being recruited in and they never get online again, we need to get them removed from the Clan List and user group if needed.

Clan Banners
There are a growing number of clans without banners! if clans are in need of banners please get over to the design team to request one! Be sure to be having conversation with your Section Leader about this.

Clan/Squad Lists
Clan Lists/Squad lists are due on the 1st, and 15th of EVERY month. If for some reason you can not post it on time you should post it early, if for some reason you can not post it at all, you should be letting your Section Leader know so they can post it until you can. You should also be checking to be sure that your Captains are turning in their squad lists on time.

Xbox Clubs
The only Xbox Club that are XG related should be deleted and all members should be directed to join the Xiled Gaming Xbox Club. There are only 1000 members in this club and EVERY XG member on the Xbox One should be in this club.

Suffocating Members
If members are doing what they need to be doing, pressuring them to do more and more, this is the kind of environment that can kill morale and push people away and lead to resentment. Encourage people to excel, know when to push people to be bettter and when to take a step back. Don't be that person who pushes someone to hide offline because they don't want to be constantly nagged.

Relationships
Members of the community are NOT allowed to be in a relationship if they are in the same chain of command. This does NOT mean that if you are in a relationship outside of the chain of command, you can cause drama and remain in the community. If you are in a relationship with someone in the community and you or the other person causes drama, you can be KTFO! This goes for everyone from the top down!

General Meeting Notes –

Recruitment Read-in’s:
When we are recruiting people into our community, it is extremely important that we are reading the Honor Code word for word and ensure that the user understands it before we fully recruit them. This is to ensure that the user knows and agrees to the rules before joining, besides just clicking on an accept button. This also makes sure your booty is covered if you go to give the user a warning or kick them out, that way they do not claim that they, “did not know it was a rule.”

This is SYNdicate:
This is ****ing SYNdicate, where people who love to be hardcore gamers and not be *****’s come to have the best gaming experience out there. If we have members, future recruits, or even leadership that does not fit in the underground gaming of SYNdicate, let’s try to find them a home elsewhere. Our community is accepting and provides a place for everyone.

Classes:
Taking your classes as a General is an important responsibility to enhancing your knowledge, furthering your legs in Xiled Gaming, and helping you be successful. These classes are offerred frequently across the Xbox One and Xbox 360, if you need a specific time for you to be able to attend a class, please message your Section Leader or a SYN Division Leader.

Clan Names:
If you are close to a clan split and you or the future General of the next clan are having a hard time picking a clan name, feel free to contact your Section Leader or Division Leader for some guidence. There are plenty of “old” clan names that can be shared to possibily be used for your new clan!

Taking Charge/Utilizing Your Time:
When you get online take charge and utilize the time that you have as efficiently as possible. If change needs to happen in your section or clan you are the person to make that happen. Take charge and make it happen. You don't have to be online 24/7 to do your job. It's not about how much you get online, it's what you do when you can get online. Utilize your time. If you have limited time on the box you have to make what time you have count. Schedule your time and don't forget to make time to game and have fun.

3rd XG Rainbow Six: Siege Tournament:
This tournament will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 8:00 PM Eastern. Registrations will CLOSE once we reach 16 teams. Registration will consists of teams of 5. The "Team Leader" will sign-up his/her entire team. You can have up to two reserves to ensure that you will have a full team the day of. You cannot rotate subs throughout the tournament. The first 5 that show up and play that's the team.

There will be spots for reserve teams to sign up for no shows.

The matches will be broadcasted on Twitch on the following channel:

SYN General Meeting Notes –

Gamer Tag Changes:
Gamer tag changes are the Section Leaders responsibility, and the Generals should be the ones communicating this with them. The Generals should post the request in their Section Leader’s leader forum. *NO OTHER MEMBERS SHOULD BE DOING THIS* Following up, we should communicate with our lower ranks that they should also not submit for a name change request on the website until AFTER their name change is approved.

Removing Members or Giving Warnings:
When we give a member a warning or we have to remove someone, it is essential to tell them why they are receiving the warning or being removed. Do not remove someone by saying, “you are no longer in the community, please take your clan tag off.” We do not every proceed with these actions without giving them the proper information. Give them clarification as to why.

Recruiting and Activity:
Recruiting members is fun and the numbers can look good on your clan. However, we do not recruit people just for numbers. It is imperative that we recruit quality members that are going to be beneficial to our clan, and be people who others enjoy gaming with. Also, it is imperative that we are not just recruiting members and never following up with them, bring the members activities and excitement from the community!

Discord Servers

As a reminder, there are now servers for each division (KoG, SYN & XGC) that you are encouraged to join, with separate channels for each individual clan, including an announcements and leadership only channel. If you need assistance assigning roles to your members or have any questions about how to use the server, please hit up your XS or any XD for assistance.

Additionally, any clan servers or section servers that are still in existence need to be deleted ASAP. There is no requirement to join the division discord servers, except for XS and higher. If this isn't clear and you have questions please ask before sharing information that you aren't 100% confident about, as this just causes more issues if we're not all on the same page as each other.

Conan Exiles

XGC Goodwin has a private server available for Conan Exiles, if interested hit him up on Xbox.

Chain of Command

Please ensure that you are using your chain of command to handle issues, ask questions, or share ideas with. If there's something that is really pressing and your leadership isn't online, that is a great time to use the open door policy, but for anything other than emergencies please be patient and get with your leadership when they are available.

Defining Expectations & Goals

When we as leaders are looking to accomplish goals, one of the greatest ways we can successfully achieve this is by being direct and communicating the outcome you want to see. This gives your leadership the opportunity to understand what you expect and how to succeed at it. Growth as a leader is a learning process, so if they need help then we guide them. If they fail to achieve the goal that is set forth, then this is the best opportunity to address how to find a solution and try a different way to accomplish the goal the next time around.

Summer Activity / Vacations

As we get into summer, please realize that this is usually a time where people take vacations, spend more time outside and with that, less time on the Xbox. With that in mind, remember that communication is the key to success and that if you are going to be out of town for vacation to let your leadership know.

Additionally, if you are considering removing members for inactivity, please keep this in mind. If someone is off the Xbox for a week, that is definitely not grounds to remove them for inactivity, but keep on top of all members during this slow time.

Clan & Squad Lists

Reminder that clan and squad lists are due by 11:59pm EST tonight. If you are unable to post your list on time, your XS will be posting it for you and following up with you as to why it wasn't done. If a Captain isn't able to post their squad list, you as General should be posting it for them and following up with them as to why it wasn't done on time. Make sure it is a brand new reply, not just editing the existing list, as editing should be happening throughout the month as changes happen in the squad and clan.

Time Management

As a leader in the community, you have a lot of things going on a lot of the time. However, you need to make sure you take time to just have fun and game, since that's what we're all here for at the end of the day. If you aren't having fun, and are constantly just getting online and handling issues nonstop, it's easy to lose sight of the big picture which is to make Xiled Gaming a fun place to game for all members.

If you're only able to get online a couple times a week, make it a priority to handle anything that needs your specific attention, while training the leaders below you so they're able to handle anything but the major stuff that needs to go to you. Then the rest of your time can be spent gaming and enjoying your time on the box.

Help Desk

When making posts on the Help Desk, please make sure you are using the format provided and being detailed when a reason is needed. Additionally, if someone is requesting a login name change request that does NOT have KoG, SYN or XGC in front of it, there is no XS approval needed. When recruits register on the website, make sure you are telling them how important it is to register with their gamertag exactly as it's spelled (special characters and spaces included), as this is the most common reason an add request is typically denied.

Regarding transfers and ADD/Removes on the help desk..these should be done hand in hand by both Section Leaders/Generals at the time of transfer. This is important so user groups stay up to date and accurate. We don't want to add a member to another user group while still remaining in the old one.

Regarding name changes, these need to be approved by the Section Leader in their leader's forum if it has a XGC, SYN or KoG prefix. Names need to be researched before approving them. If you're not sure if the name is "ok", please hit up a XD to verify it is acceptable.

Open Door Policy

The open door policy is available to every member in Xiled Gaming, however, please be aware that you should be going to your direct chain of command first. If you feel that your issue isn't being resolved or handled, take it to the next rank, and so on and so forth. That being said, realize that not all issues need to be handled immediately, and that everyone has a life outside of their Xbox so it may take a day or two for a reply back, which is fine for most questions or concerns. If there is a legitimate emergency happening within your clan, definitely hit up a higher up if your XS isn't available.

  Clan/Squad Lists:
  
  Reminder, clan and squad lists are due by 11:59 PM Est. Please be following up and ensuring these are posted and the member's GTs are spelled properly. This is important to keep a tidy clan list and user group, also if a member leaves, removed or joins we can get them on/off your user group without any issues.
  
  User Groups:
  
  Your user group should be a direct mirror of your clan list. If you do require a recent/updated user group please message a Division Leader and we can get it to you. Also, you should not be adding people to your user group until they reach the rank of Private and definitely shouldn't be promoting people to higher ranks without them being in the user group to begin with.
  
  Transfers:
  
  Regarding incoming/outgoing transfers, BOTH members should be off the original user group before being added to the new one. If a member is still on a user group they will not be added to the new user group and the request will be DENIED on the help desk. This requires mutual communication between both generals.
  
  Game Nights:
  
  Remember that you and your leadership should be doing regularly scheduled game nights with your clan and/or squads, to give everyone an opportunity to get to know each other and build relationships between leadership and every member in the clan. Game nights are also the best time to introduce new recruits to the clan members and reinforce why they joined, which is to have people to game with that they like hanging out with.
  
  It doesn't even have to be on a game, there are clans who do Karaoke nights and even Movie nights, so if you want to switch it up and have some more creative activities going on go for it!

Unneeded Drama

Regarding gossip in the community, we do NOT investigate into members personal lives! This only creates unnecessary drama and if it happens, it will be handled by demotion and/or removal!

Moderation

Section Leaders and Generals, please make sure you are replying to the clan list by the 1st and 15th of each month, so that it's easy to see the changes from each post to the next and there is history to look back on. Editing should be done in between the posts to keep things up to date as changes occur throughout the month.

All General's who have moderator, please keep you clan forums clean and ask your XS for any questions you may have. They will be double checking to make sure it's done. There are a lot of forums out there that need moderation, please keep on top of this.

Accountability

As a leader in XG, you have displayed the drive and desire to be an asset to help XG grow. However, once you reach the next level, are you holding yourself, and your clans accountable to the high standard that XG requires? Are you using the tools that are available to continue to grow the community and future leaders? Or are you taking it easy, now "that you made it?" You must hold yourself accountable to continue to grow as a leader and to uphold the ideals of XG. This is done with your day to day attitude and actions being consistent with what is expected of a leader in XG.

You cannot be effective if you are only being accountable part of the time.

Working with Peers

To be successful as a group of leaders, we have to be working as a team. You have to be a strong enough leader to be able to put petty differences aside to work for the betterment of the whole team. There is no room for condescending remarks or attitudes when a peer comes to you for help. None of us have the exact same experiences, therefore you can be a valuable asset during those times. For example, say that a new General has a clan that is having issues and is in need of rebuilding. If you know that this General has never been through this before and you have, share your knowledge to help your peer and the community. Furthermore, if you are a General who has produced any other General's from your clan by doing a clan split, you should have a mentor/protege relationship with those General's. You should be there for them to make sure that they are successful in their new role.

Open Door Policy

The open door policy is available to all members at any time. If you aren't getting what you need from your direct leader, go to the next rank. If they can't help you, go to the next rank, and so on and so forth. If anyone discourages you from using the open door policy without good reason, action will be taken.

Perception

Whenever two people interact, words are not always enough. Often times, how you are perceived, or how someone perceives you, is just as, if not more important, than the actual message. Please remember that not everyone is alike, and finding a middle ground, which should be based on simple common sense, is always the best way to go.

Communication

Generals need to ensure that they are communicating any and all issues to their XS's. This is to ensure that both you and your XS are on the same page with the path your clan is on.

Planning for Success

When we are being reactive instead of being proactive, we are not being productive. Have a game plan and make sure all of your members are on the same page. Not the same book or chapter but the same page.

Promotions

Promotions are earned not rushed period! It's our jobs as leaders to keep an eye out for potential and to ensure that everyone is on the right track with their promotions. Bad promotion negatively affects everything they touch. You will be held accountable. Promotions are a big deal and are taken very seriously. Think everything through prior to promoting someone just because you "need" someone in that spot. We expect for leadership positions to be filled in a timely manner because the longer you go without someone in those ranks, the harder it gets for other leadership and for the clan as a whole, so always make it a priority to work with those potential future leaders to get them where they need to be. Nobody will know how to be a perfect Captain or Lieutenant immediately, that's where training comes in.

Training The Future

Leadership Training should be taking place all the time. If your clan is going good, keep training leadership. We have seen many instances where a clan is good but then something happens and the Captain or Lieutenant have to go inactive and the clan falls apart. The purpose of having the next set of leaders ready is so that they can step up when their time comes. To know if this occurs be active with your clans and get to know the leaders and future leaders. Don't take someone's word about what's going on.

Grass Wasn't Greener

If a member approaches you about coming back to XG, you should be researching the name before having them added to your clan. If you need assistance with this, ask your Section Leader. Members that were removed from the community or left the community may put a Grass Wasn't Greener application in at any time. Every GWG is handled on a case by case basis. When a member is removed from the community or leaves the community, they should be told only that they can put a GWG in if they want to return to the community. Not be told you'll have to do a GWG and pay to get back in, as that is determined by XD or higher once the application process is completed.

Meetings

As a General, you are responsible for making it into your General meeting every Sunday at 9pm EST. If your Section Leader is not online, find another Section Leader on your friends list and message them for an invite. Be proactive, don't wait around until 9:10 to ask to get into a meeting. If you know you won't be able to make the General meeting, ask a Captain to sit in for you so they are able to pass along the information to the clan in your absence.

Name Change Requests:

It is VERY IMPORTANT that when members are requesting to change their gamer tags that we are researching them to the fullest of our capability! This means on the XBOX, searching forums to find similar names including ALL divisions within XG and if the name is suitable for the community. Just because the prefix is different doesn't mean the name is different. This responsibility is on both Generals and Section Leaders to research these and then have it posted in the Section Leader's forum page and having it marked as APPROVED by the respective Section Leader. If name changes aren't researched and/or approved they will be DENIED. Then a post needs to be made on the help desk so a Division Leader can go in and change it for them. Members should be waiting for approval BEFORE changing their name on the XBOX so both names match on the box and clan/squad lists. Remember, changing your GT costs the member money and the leader's time, let's not waste either by cutting corners.

Transfers:

When people are asking for transfers, please make sure they are being taken care of in a reasonable time if not done asap. No transfer should take longer the 48-72 hours. If you can't reach the other leader involved with said transfer, utilize a Division Leader.

Add Requests:

Section leaders and generals, when you are putting in a add request in the help desk you need to make sure that the members that you are trying to add are on the clan list. If they are not, do not put in the add request. ALL members must be listed on the clan/squad list in order to be added to the clan's user group.

Irrational Decisions:

When members get stressed and feel like stepping down and/or leaving is the best option just to come back a day later, this is becoming a problem. When people feel like this and express this, we need to have those members take a step back and "cool off" and think about their decision before jumping the gun. If members leave, they will not be given a pass to come back because they had a change of heart. In the event a member wants to come back after leaving, GWG is the route they will need to take. Every situation will be handled on a case by case basis.

Clan Compete:

BO4 Ladders on Clancompete.com are now live. We're still working out some small kinks but let's start getting people involved in some matches. This is a good way to have fun and get members more interactive with others in the community.

Just because you reach all requirements to be promoted to the next rank does not mean you will be promoted right away. Promotions are earned not given. If you are seeking a promotion, work for it! The leadership notice it!!

Training Leadership

As a General, always make sure that your leadership under you understands their responsibilities, and that they feel comfortable asking questions when they aren't completely sure. However, if you are spending time training someone on the same thing over and over again, and it doesn't seem to be getting through to them, you need to figure out why that is. Whether it's that you need to find a different way to teach them, or ask for assistance from your XS or a peer, it needs to be a priority. If someone isn't capable of learning or retaining information, sometimes that leads to making a difficult decision and putting someone into the rank that is capable of learning. Keep in mind that if someone can't learn it themself, how could they teach it to anyone else in the ranks below them?

Discord Communication

Keep in mind that we do not handle issues over Discord. It is to be used for keeping in communication when not on the Xbox, but nothing as far as issues, promotions, and clan business should be handled over Discord, it should always be taking place on the Xbox. If you have any questions about this or want clarification, please ask your XS or XD.

Recruiting & Reading In New Recruits

Recruiting is necessary for all clans, whether it's to grow in order to prepare for a squad or clan split, or to keep the clan stable as people leave or go inactive, which is inevitable over time. The process for recruiting and reading in should be something all leaders should be comfortable with, and that you and your Generals should be training your leadership to do without you having to be present each and every time. Work with them until you are comfortable with them flying solo and then let them spread their wings and fly. Ensure the appropriate Honor Code is went over with them, answering any questions they may have, and also inform them of the rank structure and ensure they know what the leadership ranks are in the community. This will give them a solid foundation to build off of when first joining the community.

Clan Game Nights

Doing a weekly game night is one of the Generals responsibilities. There are a lot of benefits to doing a clan game night, such as ensuring members are active with their fellow clan members, introducing recruits to everybody and making sure they are a good fit during their 7 day recruit period, and while gaming with your members you'll be able to see potential future leaders and how they interact with everyone in the party and/or game nights.

Moderation

Now that moderator classes are back, if you as a General are taking the class and receiving moderator, you should be keeping your clan forum up to date. Your Section Leader will still be checking to see if you are doing what needs to be done, and always keep in mind that if you aren't sure about how to do something, just ask. Taking the moderator class does not guarantee you to permanently have the privilege to moderate, if you aren't using it or are abusing it, your moderator can easily be taken back away.

Discord

Yes, Discord has changed a bit but it still holds a very useful purpose! Division-wide chat boxes are gone, instead we have added section chats have been added in place of that, which will be everyone in that section. Please utilize the XG Community Discord server, which has a general discussion channel you should use to reach out to members outside your section or clan. There are also channels for a multitude of games, so if members are looking for people to play certain games with, make sure they know about choosing their games to be included in those channels. Discord will be treated the same as the XG website, meaning any drama and/or infractions that happen via Discord will be handled on a case by case basis but you can be removed for breaking these rules! If ANYONE has questions regarding this, please hit up an XD for clarification.

Clan Compete

We've touched on this in past weeks but this is open and ready to go! Create your teams, join a ladder and let's get some challenges in!! All X-TEAM challenges will be done via CC from now on! If your "whole team" isn't registered, they will not be able to participate. NO EXCEPTIONS.

In order to get more familiar with the site and issuing challenges, please start using Clan Compete to do section competitions, clan battles, or even squad matches. The sky is the limit and we want to get your feedback on how the site could be utilized to the fullest extent, but in order to do so you have to actually use it and understand it. Hit up your chain of command if you have questions.

XGG is now a team on clancompete.com. The ladies are going to be battling any and all clans, as well as accepting challenges. If you have ladies in your clan that are not in the XGG Usergroup on the website, Generals you can request them to be added. When doing the add request, just put the title as XGG. For clancompete.com if the ladies are signed up on the website, you can send a message to XGC Tantaliz XC, XGC Buffy XD, KoG LOTUS XS, SYN LadyRebl XS, or SYN xPiNKx XS and they can send out a team invite!

Discord Role Assignment

When members join their division discord server, it is imperative that they are given their rank and clan roles. Without them having roles, they won't have access to be able to their clan or section chat, and won't receive messages about meetings or other important announcements. Make sure you as Generals are checking weekly, if not daily, to make sure the members in your clan have their proper placement.

Class Attendance

Generals, when signing up for classes on the website, please ensure you are showing up on time and ready to participate. If you can't make it, it is your responsibility to message the teacher of the class to let them know so they aren't spending time waiting to see if you make it online, and someone else could take your spot who is able to attend since there is limited space available in the class. If an emergency arises and you aren't able to communicate right away, that's understandable, but make every effort to let them know.

Help Desk Requests

When doing add and removal requests on the website, please put a detailed reason on why the member is being removed or added to the clan. It is important to do so because we need to have a paper trail to why they are leaving or being added. If you are doing a transfer, please remember that both Generals must post the ADD and REMOVAL requests to ensure a quick transfer. It is important to do so because we need to leave behind a detailed reason to why they are leaving. If you need examples, please be sure to hit up your XS or a XD.

Additionally, please make sure you are posting requests in the correct area - if you aren't sure, again, please ask. We'd rather have you ask the question than post it incorrectly and have to come to you to tell you what you did wrong.

Promotions:

When doing promotions, you must make sure that ALL the responsibilities are read, understood and accepted! If a member doesn't quite understand them, it is your job as leaders to EXPLAIN IN DETAIL so that it is completely understood! NO EXCEPTIONS!

Xbox Etiquette

When in Xbox parties, please don't remove members without good reason. If there is clan business that needs to be discussed, let them know and be respectful when asking them to leave. Be courteous while in a party, if you have background noise going on or are having background conversations, mute your mic when possible, especially during clan meetings.

Recruiting & Reading In

When new recruits are brought into the community, the person doing the read-in must cover the below items, with no paraphrasing or shortcuts.
1. Honor Code (division specific)
2. Rank Structure
3. Forum Rules & Guidelines

Additionally, ensure that all potential recruits are screened to make sure they meet the age requirement, and also that they haven't been a part of XG in the past. If they have, make sure the proper research is done to determine if they need to fill out a Grass Wasn't Greener Application or not.

Transfers:

Generals, when you get a transfer request, there is a timeline for when it should be done. (48 - 72 hours). Make sure you inform your section leader if it's a cross section transfer so it can get done quickly and efficiently. Also remember, when that person is transferring out of your clan to put a removal request in.

Clan Battles:

All Generals of clans are encouraged to schedule time to game with other clans within the community. Having clan battles provides several benefits to the clan members: 1) they give the clan activities and goals to look forward to, 2) they build teamwork in preparing for the event, 3) it introduces the members to other "like-minded" gamers in the community to mention a few. However, for the events to be successful, there must be some guidelines to ensure a successful event and this begins in the initial conversation between the Generals.

The conversation about what's going to go on regarding a clan battle, what the rules are, what the maps and modes are,etc...need to be discussed between the Generals. Not a General and Section Leader, or the Section Leaders. General to General. If something can't be agreed upon then Section Leaders should be involved to resolve the issue as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Furthermore, if a Section Leader contacts a General for a clan battle or vice versa, then the Section Leader should direct the challenged General to their respective General.

Finally, remembering the purpose of the event is to provide the members opportunities to have fun, make sure that good sportsmanship and fair play are paramount before, during, and after the event.

Trust & Verify

Obviously communication is the key to success...we should ALL know this! That being said, when talking to your members you should not just take their word on how everything in the clan is going. It is your job as a General to DIG IN and know what's going on before that conversation even takes place. It's a win win because you'll know what is really going on in the clan and be better prepared to handle & assist in solving any issues as well as building a stronger trust with your leadership and members as well. Remember to make sure that your members are comfortable speaking with you and your leaders so those lines of communication are open and honest.

Future Leadership

As leaders we want the best for our members. It is our job to train and teach each person below us (regardless of rank) on how to do their job better and hopefully propel them forward in the future if that's what they want. Identifying this early is key! Don't wait until a position in leadership opens up before you start looking to fill that spot...you should have your eye on one, if not more, members to potentially move up into leadership roles! This is the way to build a strong foundation within your clan! With good communication and training, you shouldn't have to worry about leadership vacancies.

Recruiting

Recruiting is essential in EVERY clan! Without new recruits, we can't grow in numbers and there won't be progression in the clan and community. Recruiting new members is EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY!! Regardless of what rank you hold. Some may find it difficult to recruit and to others it may be easy...bottom line, if you don't at least attempt it you'll always fail. The holidays are coming up and new games coming out as we speak. This is the perfect time to "brush up" on your recruiting tactics. Also, if you encounter individuals that may not be a good fit into your respective division or clan, remember we do have two others! Age and their style should be the first focus when you meet a new person before recruiting them. At the end of the day, we want QUALITY NOT QUANTITY!

Clan Primary Games

Please keep on top of what games your clan members are playing. Especially focus on this while new games are on the verge of releasing as well as the holiday season coming soon, when people might receive gifts of new games and start playing other things. You should know ahead of time if your clan is going to be switching from one game to another. If your clan has more than 3 games listed, ask yourself if that's actually true. Most clans aren't spread across more than 3 games consistently, if that is the case that's fine, but ensure that no member is being left behind.
