The Events Team would like to thank the Community as a whole for a Great Birthday Bash we hosted on 01/08/22! Great way to start off the New Year and a wonderful 16th Birthday as well as the wonderful Trivia Night hosted by XGC COOP XC, XGC MiniMe XD and SYN DESI XD!

To start off the New Year, all Section Leaders should be getting their Section Updates in. The section update is where you put how your clans are doing, what they are working towards, if there are any issues or if there are future leaders that are standing out. If a new XS is not sure where to go you can hit up your peers or your XD.

Name changes

Xiled Gaming has had clan members from PC and PlayStation for quite awhile now. Xbox allows 12 characters in names, PlayStation allows 15 characters per name, but no open spaces. When creating a gamertag, if your not able to use spaces, use underscore to seperate your division tag from your gamertag.
Ex. KoG_Lotus_XD
To my knowledge PC gamers limited to 20 characters. This goes for Playstation and PC if needed.

Transfers

Transfers should never be denied, nor should they be held up for any reason. Once a clan member requests a transfer, it should take no more than 72 hours to complete the entire process. The key to getting transfers done is communication. Communicating with the leaders of where the clan member wants to go is as easy as a sending an Xbox message, or a discord message. Not working hard to complete a transfer can cause the clan member to become disgruntled, which could lead to unnecessary drama.

Note: Captains Classes are now a requirement for promotion to General. You must sign up and take a Captains class if you are interested in being promoted to General.

DRAMA:
Unfortunately, drama can rear it's ugly head at any given time crossing many forms of communication, it's up to us as leaders to know how to deal with it.
Drama is a tumour that needs to first be isolated, then cut out before it becomes destructive, we as leaders need to be vigilantly on guard for the dumb shit. then squash it quickly and accordingly. if you need assistance in formulating a plan to combat a situation you can rely on your leadership for advice.

Here are a few tips for shutting down the drama

Try to determine what's behind the drama.
Get the facts.
Ask them to find a solution.
Set boundaries. ...
Walk away. if needed
Seek out peers for advice
Don't become a drama seeker yourself
Stay neutral, logical, and unemotional. In other words, don’t react.

Here are a few tips on how to maintain a Dram free environment.

Model the behaviour you want to see.
Have a system for managing conflict.
Be as transparent as possible.
Stop repeating the story.
Hold open conversations about real issues.
Encourage people to carry their own messages.
Try to understand people's motivations.

Getting people involved, emotional, and excited is the goal of drama-seekers. And the more, the merrier.
Remember NEVER feed into drama.

What is conflict resolution? ​

Conflict resolution is a way for opposing parties to find a peaceful solution to their disagreement that leaves all parties reasonably satisfied.​

conflict resolution can be done formally or informally., effective conflict resolution skills can serve to reduce any discontent that could damage working relationships, facilitate better collaboration, and, as a result, construct strong working relationships.
Resolving conflicts effectively can prevent tension between disagreeing parties from spreading to other members not involved in the original conflict. A quick, amicable resolution can help maintain peace and morale. Knowing your audience will play a key role in solving conflict.

4 steps To resolve Conflict: CARE

• Communicate. Open communication is key in a dispute.
• Actively Listen. Listen to what the other person has to say, without interrupting.
• Review Options. Talk over the options, looking for solutions that benefit everyone.
• End with a Win-Win Solution

Here are seven-steps for an effective problem-solving process.

• Identify the issues.
• Understand everyone's interests.
• List the possible solutions (options)
• Evaluate the options.
• Select an option or options.
• Document the agreement(s).
• Agree on contingencies, monitoring, and evaluation.

Favoritism is not something we do in the community, regardless of who you think you know, or what type of relationship you have with a person it will never give you any type of clout over anything. We believe in fair treatment for all.

-Adding members to User Group the current process for adding a member to the user groups requires the general to post a request in the help desk once that member is accepted into the clan. Meaning they have reached the rank of private and are on the clan list.

-Recruits should not be getting promoted to privates if they have not registered on site, since that registering is the number one responsibility of a private. If they can not do this, they should not be promoted to private in first place.

-We are coming up on the end of the 1st quarter of the year. It might be time to take a look at your Clan/Squad lists and make sure that members are being signed up on the website. Clean out members who haven't been active in a while or who have left and some how are still left in the user groups but not on the Clan/Squad lists.

-As many know The Game with Fame is officially back and we had a successful night getting to know XGC Mini Me XD alot better last night. Be looking for more as YOU the Community will be picking in our discord polls who the next will be. In March the votes were in and KoG LOTUS XD will be having her spotlight on March 12th,2022 8pm Eastern.

Section Leaders:

*Keep in mind some short-term and long-term goals for your clan. Discuss what directions your captains want to go and give Guidance if needed.,
*Section Updates should be posted at least once every 2 months, and updated as the need arises. This helps keep track of how the clans are progressing.
*Never be afraid to fill out a Leader log, leader logs are only record-keeping, not just for yourself, but the community as a whole.
*Peep to peer relationships are just as important as the working relationship you have with your XD's, Never be hesitant to come to us with anything, good, or bad, big or small, for we are here to help in your development as leaders.
*Communication is simple if you utilize the proper tools., and all tools are provided if you know where to look.

Tournaments:

As we all know tournaments have been a major request lately, what we need to know is what kind you want. Let's get the word out, find out what our members want as a community-wide tournament. Once you have your findings report to your direct leadership. Anything to bring people together is what like-minded gamers do.

Basic everyday procedures:

Let's not forget what we have built-in in Xiled Gaming. The rank structure is there for a reason and let's see the game nights and clan meeting weekly for your section. If you aren't able then please have your Captain trained up to take on these responsibilities. Also, there has been a lot of slacking on posting the Clan and Squad lists. Let's make sure this is being done, please. Also, make sure your User Group matches your clan list. Your XS will be talking to you if not done so be prepared.

Recruiting:

Recruiting is the main way to grow your clans. If you are stagnant and not looking or trying to recruit you are not only hurting yourself but your clan as well. Let's get this going and start training up leadership. It is simple if you bring in a recruit, assign them a Sergeant to help them answer any questions they might have. This helps the Sergeant be prepared for the LT position and helps the communication within the clan.

HALO: INFINITE

With the release of Halo Infinite, Xiled Gaming Tournament Team is excited to announce this in-house Tournament starting April 8th, 2022 until April 22nd, 2022. This will be a weekly tournament that will be held every Friday in the month of April. This Tournament is held for members of Xiled Gaming to participate in. Each clan can have multiple teams participating or if you preferred to join a team consisting of different members, that is welcomed too. The primary goal is to see everyone gaming and having fun and bring competition back into Xiled Gaming as a whole. TRANSFERS
When doing a transfer, the proper method for this to happen is for the person transferring to contact their General, who in turn will contact their Section Leader. The Section Leader will contact the Section Leader of the clan that they are hoping to go to, and they will contact the General of the clan that they will be moving to. Once all of this is done, and the transfer is accepted, the General should remove them from the clan list, make sure they are removed from the squad list, and post a removal request with the reason being transferring to their desired clan. When the removal request is processed on the website, the clan member will be moved from one clan to the other.

DISCORDS
Please make sure that when you are joining specific discord channels or sending links to members, names are to mirror your current website name. This'll alleviate any confusion as to who is who in the discord. Generals and Section Leaders are to assign roles for new or returning members in their specific Division Discords. You should be directing them to the Clan Assignment Channel to have them fill out the proper format. And when removing members from the community due to specific reasons, Generals and or Section Leaders should be removing them from your Division Discords as well. This would be helpful in keeping our individual discords clean and less cluttered.

SPRING CLEANING
Spring is in the air! It's time to get your forums cleaned up! Working together with your leadership to ensure that Usergroups and all lists match. Anyone who is inactive should be given notice prior to being removed. We don't want clutter forming in our forums to where it becomes hard to clean up. Don't be a hoarder.

The way to success is to focus on goals, not obstacles

Name Changes

For a long time, Xiled Gaming was almost always Xbox only. With the changes made a while ago, Xiled Gaming now has members on Xbox, PC, and Play Station. When a General submits a name change, not only should they list the current name,
the rank and the names wanted, but they should also list what console the member plays on.
Should that member play on multiple consoles, the console with the lowest number of characters allowed should take precedence for name length.
Which are as follows:
Xbox allows 12 characters.
Play Station allows 16 characters.
PC allows 20 characters

Discouragement within leadership

Deal with discouragement before it happens by being a positive leader. When you start to feel discouraged remember not to show this to everyone it will trickle down in the clan. When you feel like your clan has grown stagnant, Spend more time affirming and less time correcting. Give public acknowledgement, gratitude, and praise. Be available.
Three things to remember when in a rut are
remembering why you are doing this!

don't quit

Open discussion

Ask yourself these questions:
Where do you find encouragement?
How do you encourage others?
How do I know when I'm getting discouraged?
How can I overcome discouragement?
Personal reflection is never a bad thing it strengthens us as leaders.




Future Leadership:

As leaders, we want the best for our members. It is our job to train and teach each person below us (regardless of rank) how to better do their job and hopefully propel them forward in the future. Identifying this early is key! Don't wait until a position in leadership opens up before you start looking to fill that spot...you should have your eye on one, if not more, members to potentially move up into leadership roles! This is the way to build a strong foundation within your clan(s)! With good communication and training, you shouldn't have to worry about leadership!


Clan Primary Games

Your clan's primary games should stay updated consistently as the clan changes, especially with new games coming out. Get an Update Clan in tonight so everything can be brought up to date. There shouldn't be 5 main games in a clan at any point, narrow it down to 3 or less.


Promotions

Just because you reach all requirements to be promoted to the next rank does not mean you will be promoted right away. Promotions are earned not given. If you are seeking a promotion, work for it! The leadership notice it! Training Leadership As a Section Leader, your main goal should be to ensure that your Generals are knowledgeable about their responsibilities and that they feel comfortable asking questions when they aren't. However, if you are spending time training someone on the same thing over and over again, and it doesn't seem to be getting through to them, you need to figure out why that is. Whether it's that you need to find a different way to teach them or ask for assistance from a peer or XD to get this done, it needs to be a priority. If someone isn't capable of learning or retaining information, sometimes that leads to making a difficult decision and putting someone into the rank that is capable of learning. Keep in mind that if someone can't learn it themself, how could they teach it to anyone else in the ranks below them?

Being a “Pro” leader

As a leader, are you leading from the front or from behind? There is a saying in the sled dog world, “if you are not the lead dog, the scene never changes.”

The key to leading from the front is to be proactive versus reactive. Being proactive is built into the XG proven system of leadership. Aspects of being proactive include having a plan for your section or clans, communicating that plan to your leadership, building a pipeline of leadership, and having events (game nights, recruiting nights, leadership development training, etc.) are examples of some of the proactive topics built into the XG system.

For discussion, what are some signs of being proactive versus reactive for the following:

-having a plan for section or clan
-communicating that plan
-leadership pipeline
-clan events

After this exercise, it should be obvious the importance of being a proactive leader and the areas in which you need to focus.

Leadership training

As leaders we should always be looking forward, part of this is the advancement and ensuring we are training upcoming leaders to succeed.
This entails holding leadership accountable and ensuring they are upholding their responsibilities. Suppose we find that a leader is not meeting all requirements we need to be having a talk with said member a finding out the reason and how we can resolve the issues. The best way to train someone is by example so remember to practice what you preach.


The Importance of communication:

Being a leader means taking responsibility not only for yourself but for those who follow you. It means making sure that your members are receiving the information and resources they need to achieve success in the community.
All of this requires communication with both leaders and your members and ensuring you are telling members of essential notes, events even upcoming game nights.

Summer has arrived

Summer has arrived and this means members going on vacation and spending more time outside with the family. We need to make sure we are communicating with clan members and leadership on when and how long they may be away.

The benefits of streaming are endless, streaming brings us together, We know we have some folks that are serious and trying to make it a profession, but we also have others that are using it to bring their clans together. So what does that look like in each division, each section, each clan? Not Knowing The Facts:
To be a productive leader is not to assume that your Generals or captains are not doing there job by just watching who's in the partys or what game they are playing join in with them. Once you assume you could be hurting the clan or community by prematurely demoting, harassing, or falsely accusations.

Teachers:
As section leaders and or generals we are teachers. We are not a boss of nothing. Our job is to give the needed tools and guidance for clan growth development, and development growth of a leader.


Mistakes:
As section leaders or general we should allow our leaders to run there clan or squad andmake mistakes and figure there own way to run things. Mistakes are how we learn as leaders. If we're not making mistakes are we truly leading? If you don't make mistakes you are leading too conservative or not leading at all.


Quiting to early:
As leaders we should not be throwing in the towel to early. For section leaders it has become accustomed to just pulling the plug throwing in the towel on a clan. Absorbing these members into exsiting clan then splitting that clan soon after. This is quiting to early and not using all the resources at your disposal. Were the leaders above you so quick to quit on you? If they did, you wouldn't be in the leadership position your in. Never look for short cuts, take the long journey, ensure for success on every aspect.



Chance:
As leaders of the community are objectives should all be the same. We should be striving to give each member the same opportunity that we were giving. We should be helping pave the road for the future leaders of the community. We should be sharing the expirences that we have had with the community with them to help them grow.


Manufacturer Terms to problem solving (5whys)
Using the five Why process to determine the root cause of the problem can be beneficial in clan or section management. Example below
Why did the clan fail?
General lost interest
Why did the General loose interest?
It become a job and couldn't find any recruits
Why did it become a job and why couldn't he find recruits?
His captains wasn't pulling there weight. He was only one recruiting.
Why were the captains not pulling there weight and nobody recruiting ?
Because they were good friends and had great outlooks on the community. We became stagnant.
Why did we become stagnat?
Because I let the captains hold the rank but not fulfill the responsibilities.

So the root cause of the clan failure was due to not making his or her members fulfill there responsibilities.
If done before failure you could stop a problem before it becomes a major problem.

XG is pleased to announce that the streaming capabilities on the website are now up and running. Now you stream will be featured and simulcasted on the website for all members to see. An announcement will also go out through the XG Discord to let everyone know that you are going live. (This function is glitching at the moment but should be fixed in the next few days.). The are bound to be other glitches or issues along the way, but we will jump on those as they occur.

How do I signed up? Glad you asked. This is an account upgrade that is available for $5 per month, for now. All funds will go back into the community, i.e. website and Discord updates, tournament prizes, etc..

Below are the steps to upgrade your account:

Go to your profile on the website (click your game pic in the upper right hand portion of the screen)

Tap Account Upgrades

Select the Streamer purchase button

This takes you to PayPal. YOU MUST HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT!

After you secure payment, you are placed in the Streamers user group.

Go to the Streams forum and click on the “Submit Channel” button and provide the URL for your Twitch stream.

That’s all there is to it, hopefully. Stay tuned for other items related to the XG Streamers group, such as new banners, overlays, and affiliations in the near future. If you do run into any issues during this process, hit up your leadership. Several members have been requesting this ability for a while, so we are glad to finally be able to provide it. With that in mind, always remember to pass along any ideas to make the community moving forward.

Section Leaders:

Section Leaders are the face of your section. You are the leader that everyone depends on and trust. As a Section Leader, you are to help your Generals and train them the best way possible. This means getting to know your clans, show them around the website/discord and show them where to find things. As an XS this is each of yours responsibility. Let's go over just a few that some might need a refresher on:

Oversee all aspects of a section (group of clans). This includes, but is not limited to, attending clan meetings when possible, approving transfers and XG gamertag requests, preparing clan splits, and handling any cross-clan issues that may arise.

Best advice on this is to hold a leadership meeting with each clan once a week. Attend a clan meeting at least once a month. Get to know your members by joining game nights and meeting all new recruits. Remember Communication is the Key To Success! So communicate with your Generals on a regular base.

Work with Generals. Ensure they are properly trained to uphold their responsibilities, manage their clans effectively, and handle issues and enforce the Honor Code. Speak with them regularly to discuss clan activity, their development and the development of their Captains.

Get your leaderships short term and long term goal. Ask about potential members in the clan that would like to move up into leadership. Help your General's and guide them the way you were guided by your previous XS. Go over the usergroup together as you are a TEAM!

Micromanaging: As an XS you can give out ideas to help your clan but make sure you are not Micromanaging in any way. Let your General know that you are just giving guidance or suggestions based on previous experiences. They can choose what course they will take. Remember the Clan is your General's Clan! If you see something that might help the clan, this is where you will guide your General the way he/she needs to be guided.

Generals:

Generals are the backbone of this community. As a General you all are responsible for making sure your clan is run the way it should be. You are looking for that potential leadership in everyone in your clan. Remember as a General or any member of Xiled Gaming our main goal is to have fun and game with like minded gamers. Don't lose that focus!! Here is a few things that might help:

Work with Captains. Ensure they are properly trained to uphold their responsibilities, manage their squads effectively, and handle issues and enforce the Honor Code. Speak with them regularly to discuss squad activity, their development and the development of their Lieutenants.

Get with your leadership weekly, let all your leadership know you are there to help them as well. See what their goals are and talk about how your going to help them reach that goal. Game with all your members and get to know each one. This will show your members that they can trust you and be there for them as well.

Attend mandatory bi-monthly leadership meetings to keep up-to-date on community information, and host weekly clan meetings to pass along necessary communication from upper leadership and ensure that clan issues and goals are discussed.

If you are not able to make a meeting be sure to let your XS know and have your Captain or LT step in for you. Utilize the Calendar on the website for community related activites and classes. If you have any questions be sure to go to your XS and ask. Remember their is no stupid question.

Maintain the clan’s Discord channel and clan list and updating it, at minimum, by the 1st and 15th of each month.

When updating your list by the 1st and 15th of each month, make sure your Captain has done this as well. If they are not able to then it is the Generals responsibility to do this for them. Also remember to assign roles as new members come into discord. This way they will see your clans Discord chat and know what's going on in the community and your clan.

Responsibilities of a Section Leader may vary from day to day, you wear many different hats depending on the situation, Whether it be conflict resolution or just overseeing all aspects within your section,

SECTION UPDATES:

Why is utilizing the Section Update properly and at least once a month so important?, Well, Section updates are a great tool for you as a Section Leader to not only brag about the good, but inform us about the bad as well without any judgement. In section updates you can track the progression of the clans, goals, leaderships progression, The possibilities are truly limitless on information provided. Below is an example of a proper format to get started.

NEVER hesitate to make these your own,

Leaderlogs:

A leader log should consist of the who, what, when and where. and yes sometimes the how, You should never do a leader log based on personal opinions. When doing a leader log you should always be professional and think with a calm level head. remember the information must be true and accurate. The leader log should not be a transcript of every conversations that took place, but a concise recap of the events and pertinent information of the issue. Double check, did you cross every T and dot every I?, is what your trying to convey legible for all to understand? Knowing how to writing a accurate leader log is a must as a leader, if you have any questions never be afraid to ask for assistance from a peer, or a Division leader. No question is a Dumb question." Also it's important that when having a conversation of importance, that you have a peer or peers with you for a witness, Witnesses are there only to observe, not interact unless advised by the leader conducting the interview., in some situations a Division leader or higher may need to be present, if so they are always ready to assist you based on their availability.

Recruiting Tips:

Way too often we hear people say that recruiting is hard. We all know that recruiting isn’t like it was back on BO2, but recruiting doesn’t have to be hard. When it comes to recruiting think outside of the box. Simple things like having members invite friends that are not in a clan to your game nights can bring in new members. When those friends come to the game nights and have fun they become potential recruits. When playing a multiplayer game make sure you’re in game chat and try to have room for randoms. If you’re in a party then you can’t communicate with the other players on your team. We always say that communication is key and it’s the same way with recruiting. Recruiting doesn’t have to be hard when you’re out having fun gaming in those multiplayer lobbies the randoms that are put on your team they can always become a potential recruit. If you run a match and there’s a really good player on the team that is doing call outs and seem like a fit for your clan, after that match is over go back to the lobby send them an invite and see if they want to run with you. Make recruiting fun, not challenging. We want you to be having fun no matter what your doing and recruiting can be fun too if you think outside of the box and get creative with it.

Effective Leaders avoid becoming the weed that chokes their team's individual passion and overall performance.
Instead, they become the water bearers who water, nurture, coach, and grow individual passionate seeds into a superstar team.
Motivation and Innovation
As an XS or general, it is your responsibility to provide the tools that are necessary for your generals and clan leaders to be successful. You got to the rank of XS or general because you were motivated to do the job requirements to reach the next level: so are you instilling that motivation into your generals or are you setting back and letting them do their own thing, hoping they will figure it out? You should be communicating with your generals about what it took for you to run a successful clan and assisting them in how to accomplish the tasks. For example, they should understand why it is important to always be recruiting, training leadership, holding clan events, joining community events, etc., as these pertain to the success of the clan and to them being able to reach the goals that they have established.

So what happens when you have this conversation with your general, but they say they have tried to do those but nothing is working? That is where Innovation comes in. If the way you are approaching a problem is not yielding positive results, you have to be able to try new approaches. If recruiting is not working because everyone is in party chat, try game chat. If no one is showing up for meetings, combine it with a game night or do a movie night. If you come across issues that you haven't faced before and are not sure of another approach, hit up a peer to see if they have some ideas or get with a section leader or division leader.

Ensuring Your Clans are Successful
Daily clan activities, weekly clan, and squad meetings, and leadership meetings are just a few ingredients that create a successful clan. The main reason people join our community is to find people that they enjoy gaming and hanging out with on a regular basis so they never have to play alone unless they want to.
When talking to your members and leadership in all of your clans, it's your responsibility to bring up ideas and come up with solutions to any issues that are occurring within the clan, and make sure people are comfortable coming to you with any ideas they have. Being proactive to prevent issues as well as asking people for ideas will help pave the way for success.
Reinforcing positive things is just as important as bringing up the negatives and addressing them, celebrating small positive changes, and building on them to keep moving forward.

Holiday Break
Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year are here again! Remember, this is a time when members can be distant and sometimes unresponsive due to traveling and family, so patience is going to be needed. Communicate with your members as best you can and hold games nights to keep activity up. Also, we are sure a lot of people will be getting new games over the holiday so let's not forget the recruitment opportunities.

RELATIONSHIPS AND LEADERSHIP IN XG
To eliminate drama and keep any kind of favoritism or feelings from influencing decisions, XG does not allow husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend, or immediate family to directly report. We realize that with the amazing members we have, at some point you might find the person who completes your life. If you do, we require you to notify a leader (XD, XC, XI) so one of you can be moved. Notifying a leader of these relationships will not result in the loss of rank or removal from the community. However, any lying, deception, manipulation of stories or members, or relationships that generate issues or drama for the community may result in demotion and/or removal from the community. The rank structure is intended to be followed without personal feelings or emotional decisions affecting the directions of our clans.

Look, we get it, some of you are going to date. We don't care! Just spare us and your division the drama of going through it by being honest!

WHEN SHOULD A RECRUIT SIGN UP
Recruits can sign up anytime during 7 day trial period. Make sure to go at the Recruits pace and do not force them sign up right when being read in. Give them opportunity to do it whenever they feel that this is something they will want to be a part of. Either way, you should be holding off from adding them into the usergroup until they are ready to become Private's.

Similarly, if they are not 100% ready to commit, try inviting them only to the Xiled Gaming Server for now so they can get a feel of our community and not our Division specific Discord Servers. Remember, they are getting a feel for our community just as much as we are making sure they will be a good fit - they are not members of Xiled Gaming and should be treated as guests!

HONOR CODE AND DISCORD RULES NOT THE SAME
Our Honor Code is the foundation of Xiled Gaming as it relates to online play. These set of rules are NOT the same as Discords rules that have been set forth by leadership. Every issue however is handled on a case by case basis and therefore depending on the severity of the drama/problem on discord, it may result in consequences that effect the members stance in the community i.e warning or removal.

CAUTION WHEN MAKING LFG POSTS
It would seem that the Community Standards have changed for Xbox Live recently. This is because one of our members posted several looking for group posts on Xbox live and was banned for 2 days posting them. This may not happen to everyone, but we want to give a forewarning to all members making this kind of posts that this may happen to you.

DISCORD GAME FORUMS
As many of you have seen, Xiled Gaming Discord no longer has Game Channels. Each of the channels have been converted into forums that will allow members to post their own discussion of the topic. Whether it be Looking for Gamers to play with or just simply talk about a specific mode of each game. The forums should not be used for any negativity whatsoever. Please remember that not everyone has the same ideas as you or have the same game style play as you therefore everyone should be respectful of one another's opinions. If any issues should arise, you are welcome to reach out to your leadership and discussing it privately.

New Year
As 2022 comes to an end and 2023 begins, this is a great time for Section Leaders and General's to make sure user groups, meeting notes, and all lists are good and ready. Start off the new year with a jump on things. Get with your leadership and members to see what everyone's short term and long-term goals are. Write them down on a calendar for 2023 and see throughout the year how close everyone can accomplish their goals. Clean up the Clans Forums also and make sure No Man Is Left Behind.

Discord Server Rules
Please remember that the Xiled Gaming Discord is an Open Server for members in the community and visiting members. Acting in a professional manner is part of representing the community as a whole. We want new members joining the discord and seeing how we act as a collective more than what issues we may have. Keep specific conversations to their appropriate channels. We understand that there are a ton of different channels that we utilize on a daily basis. At the same time, ensuring that the General Discussion channel remains clutter free. We do not want any important information to go unnoticed or over-looked.

Accurate Gamertags on Clan Lists
When adding gamertags to your clan list, please make sure that any numbers including the hashtag are included in gamertags that are not original so that others are able to add them. If you don’t, it is just like misspelling a tag where a leader or another member will not be able to add them.

Removing Members for Inactivity
As we we somewhat discussed at last meeting, we want to stress the importance of members that may not be 100% due to holidays. This is not the best of times to be evaluating members who have not been as active for removal from the community for inactivity. This is best to be evaluated after the new year.

SEXUAL HARASSMENT
Sexual Harassment is defined as behavior characterized by the making of unwelcome and inappropriate sexual remarks or physical advances in a workplace or other professional or social situation. What are sexually harassed examples? Verbal harassment of a sexual nature, including jokes referring to sexual acts or sexual orientation. Unwanted touching or physical contact. Unwelcome sexual advances. Discussing sexual relations/stories/fantasies at work, school, or in other inappropriate places.

Xiled Gaming has ZERO TOLERANCE FOR SEXUAL HARASSMENT! No member should ever be subjected to any harassment whatsoever. Every division's Honor Code state in Section VIII that:

Honor Code violations consist of trash talking, t-bagging, discrimination, racism, sexism, harassment, illegal drugs, cheating, poaching, squad de-ranking, or any other aggressive behavior toward fellow online gamers.

We as leaders should be enforcing these rules to ensure that our members have a safe place where they can get online to game and have fun, not to be degraded, harassed, or discriminated in any way whatsoever.

NAME CHANGE REQUESTS
When doing a name change request always look in all three divisions if the name is already taken within another division. We were told it can't be a past leader or current leaders or even remotely close to a name already within any of the divisions.

LEADERSHIP MEETINGS
Remember being in leadership meetings that it should be only leadership in there. Sergeants and below should not be listening to what is going on in the Clan/Section/Division. If it is pertaining to a situation in your clan, it does not look good to spread it to the lower ranks mostly recruits that you are trying to bring in. Be cautious about this and this is when the party should be locked down so no one will join.
Along with party being locked down. If you are in leadership your party should be open at all times unless you are handling an issue.

XILED GAMING PROMOTION REQUIREMENTS 2023
NO Promotion is just given for meeting the time requirements. Promotions must be earned by fulfilling all the responsibilities of each rank. Promotions are not asked for; promotions are earned. Because you have been in your position for a long time does not guarantee you a promotion. If you have completed these requirements, please speak with a leader. If you are not maintaining the requirements of your position, please understand you are hurting your clan, the community, and your friends. If this happens you will be relieved of your leadership position. It isn't personal. We can't have inactive or ineffective leaders hold back what our members need.

XILED GAMING DISCORD
The Xiled Gaming Discord is a discord created for all members of XG as well as non-members. Prior to joining the discord, each member is asked whether or not they accept the Server Rules. Server Rules consists of 14 rules plus Terms of Service that each member should be abiding by when posting in the channels. By accepting these rules, it means that you are expected to follow them. The discord is a place where members can communicate and share the same ideas and intergrade with each other. It is also a place where new members can join to meet others within the same clan/section/division/community. Remember to keep the community discord conversations PG-13.

This doesn’t just include how you interact when gaming. It also includes how you act on discord and in parties as well. There are things to remember when it comes to running a successful clan.
Communication - when talking about communication it’s not just passing on information or asking how things are going within the clan/squad. For instance, if your captain has some concerns about a potential recruit that you are wanting to bring in, take time to listen to them. You have them as a leader for a reason.

• Working together - when working together on a common goal you may not always agree with each other on how to meet that goal so it's best to meet in the middle by compromising.
• Goals - always have goals set for yourself and for your clan. Make sure that when you are setting goals that you have a short- and long-term goal for yourself and the clan.
• Leadership Pipeline - Your leadership pipeline is so important for a successful clan. Your leadership pipeline is the leadership that is under you, your captain(s) and lieutenant(s). Always be sure to keep open communication with your leadership pipeline as without it the clan will definitely suffer.
• Humble - As a leader it's always a good practice to be humble. Never forget where you came from. Also, it is a good practice to not look at yourself as better than anyone else based on your rank because we are all people. No one is better than anyone else. We are all here for the same thing and that is to game with like-minded gamers.

Leadership involvement

Leaders must be assertive at all times with their Sections/clans/squads, only by keeping level involvement will you be able to steadily ascertain the information you need to be a successful role model to your leadership pipeline., Never fall prey to minimized involvement when working with your pipelines, we must always check up on them even if we feel they are doing good.

Developing that level of involvement, when everything is good will pay dividends when the “going gets tough.” During those times, more attention/time will need to be dedicated to work through issues. To be a great leader, you have to have the dedication to show up when you clans, section, or division needs you most.

One thing everyone should love about being a leader in Xiled Gaming is being the face of the community for our members, And striving to show the way in our training methods to ensure the future of our beloved community. train them to be a better leaders, not only on a professional level, but also on a personal one ,as well, our leadership pipelines are the future, so lets set ourselves up for success.

Leaderlogs:

A leader log should consist of who, what, when and where. You should never do a leader log based on personal opinions. When doing a leaders log you should always be professional and think with a calm level head. remember the information must be true and accurate. Double check, did you cross every T and dot every I?, is what your trying to convey legible for all to understand? Knowing how to writing a accurate leader log is a must as a leader, if you have any questions never be afraid to ask for assistance from a peer, or a Division leader. No question is a Dumb question." Also it's important that when having a conversation that you have a peer or peers with you for a witness, Witnesses are there only to observe, not interact unless advised by the leader conducting the interview., in some situations a Division leader or higher may need to be present, if so they are alway ready to assist you based on their availability.

GROUPS AND RECRUITING
We have been observing some parties that have the same members in them that are not bringing in others or going out and more specifically not going out and Recruiting. These are normally the clans/groups that have the hardest time recruiting. Remember that recruiting helps our clans and ultimately our community grow. If we are not giving time to the community by assisting in recruiting then we cannot be mad at nobody but ourselves. All members, regardless of rank, should be helping bring in 1 Recruit a month. If every member of every division were to bring in 1 recruits, we would have several hundred recruits in a months time at minimum. Remember that by working together, this stays a hobby and does not become a job. Challenge your members this month - can they bring in 1 Recruit?

TRANSFER PROCESS
Any member wanting to Transfer must put the request to their direct leadership first.- "This is the First step to any transfer, we are not mind readers.."
Who/What Where of transfers:
Division to Division Transfers: Are handled by the Section Leaders/Division leaders of Xiled Gaming.
Most Division-to-Division transfers are handled by the Section Leaders, we promote peer to peer relations, and if there is ever a tricky situation you can call upon your division leader for final confirmation.
Any Section Leader/Division leader alerted to the situation must meet to discuss the transfer/ find placement (Division Leader only If needed)

• Section to Section Transfers: Are handled by Section Leader of Xiled Gaming. Any Section Leader alerted to the situation must meet to discuss the transfer/ find placement.
• Clan to Clan Transfers: Are handled by Generals of Xiled Gaming. Any General alerted to the situation must meet to discuss the transfer/ find placement.
• Squad to squad Transfers: Captains can transfer only if your both under the same General.

Always report these changes to your direct leadership. When working with transfers we only have a 72-hour window for processing., so we must be diligent when attempting to reach out to the proper channels to get these resolved., Why 72 hours? Well, 72 hours is three days., Basic time requirements, right?, "DUH" so whatever the reason for the transfer, remember there is no reason to become complacent. we are not in the habit of holding transfers. Now with that said, if there is ever a case by case situation, then you need to inform your leadership, and the member that there will be a delay, Communication is the key to success. Does a leader have the right to deny a transfer "either incoming, or outgoing" ?, Yes you do, we encourage you to be selective when bringing new faces in , and we never want you to transfer a problem. When your not certain if the member is transferable,,, well ask yourself this, Are they a good fit for another clan, section, or Division. and finally Are they a good fit for the community as a whole., When working with different personality's one thing you have to realize is, some clash, but that doesn't mean the member isn't a good fit somewhere else. Being social and getting to know our peers through out the community can/will assist you in this task.

GAMERTAGS CHANGE REQUESTS
The 5th rule in Honor Code states the following:
"New members will not be allowed to change their gamer tag until reaching the rank of Sergeant and receiving approval from a Section Leader or higher."
Please make sure that we all remember that players wanting to join the community never have to change their gamertags if they don't want to, however, we highly encourage them to do so once they reach the rank of Sgt. so they can represent the Division they are apart of. Remember that changing your gamertag to include your division means that you represent the community as a whole 100% of the time you are online!


RELATIONSHIPS AND LEADERSHIP IN XG
To eliminate drama and keep any kind of favoritism or feelings from influencing decisions, XG does not allow husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend, or immediate family to directly report. We realize that with the amazing members we have, at some point you might find the person who completes your life. If you do, we require you to notify a leader (XD, XC, XI) so one of you can be moved. Notifying a leader of these relationships will not result in the loss of rank or removal from the community. However, any lying, deception, manipulation of stories or members, or relationships that generate issues or drama for the community may result in demotion and/or removal from the community. The rank structure is intended to be followed without personal feelings or emotional decisions affecting the directions of our clans.
Look, we get it, some of you are going to date. We don't care! Just spare us and your division the drama of going through it by being honest!

How this will work, The Events Team will be on the XG discord under Community Game Channels which our host will utilize. This will bring in more across our divisions and no one will be left behind.

KoG LOTUS XD will be hosting an Intro to Generals Class on March 25th, 2023 @8pm EST.
It is open to any member holding the current rank of General in all divisions within XG.
