PROPOSED GRASS WASN'T GREENER FORMAT

Proposed Grass wasn't Greener format

Purpose
The purpose of this restructure is simplify the bring back process as well as to give the process a way to run with as little input by leaders as possible. This process is NOT an opinion based system. Every application will be processed based on facts.

Inactive members
Any member that went inactive and was removed from their usergroup is NOT classified as leaving. If it can be verified, a Division Leader is permitted to reinstate the member without using The Grass wasn't Greener forum. This member will return without a fee. If a member's story cannot be verified through this process, the member will post their story on The Grass wasn't Greener forum. If verified, the member will not be assessed a fee.

The Initial Application
Once a member applies to return, a researcher will investigate his application and verify his story. Once verified, the Division Leaders of the division they are requesting to join will decide whether that member will return into the community.

Fees
There will only be a minor ($10) and major ($20) fee assessed to most members wanting to return. The determination of whether the member meets a minor or major fee will fall to the Division Leaders of the division the member most recently left.

Minor Fee ($10) - Will be assessed when a member has legitimately left the community for any reason. This member must not have caused any drama immediately before, during, or ANY time after leaving.

Major Fee ($20) - Will be assessed when the member left and caused drama immediately before, during, or after leaving.

Severe Fee ($50) - Only to be assesed by Community Leaders or Council Members on Special Reviewed applications.

Special Review
In cases when a member has been a Section Leader or higher, been brought back more than 5 times, or has caused "great harm or turmoil" to the community as a whole, the application must be brought to a Community Leader. The Community Leader handling this application will make the decision to bring it to the other Community Leaders or the Council.

If a member is brought back without council present, each Community Leader involved MUST have their name recorded in the GWG request to return. (i.e. XGC John Doe XS approved for a major per SYN PENGUIN XC/SYN REZ XC). There will be a Severe Fee ($50) in place for use on these members, but will not be mandatory.

Only Community Leaders and Council Members may assess the Severe fee, as it is strictly intended for special review cases only.

NHL 18 Tournament

Welcome to the NHL 18 Tournament. Please make sure you have read the rules in its entirety before registering your team. Rules can be found below.

Please copy and paste the format listed below to register your team. Failure to do so will result in your teams removal from the Tournament.

By submitting this application, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the rules. You understand that the tournament requires a substantial time commitment. Furthermore, you understand that if you do not complete assigned matches, this will jeopardize your ability to play in future events.


RULES

Roster:


All players must be a registered member of Xiled Gaming for a minimum of 30 days unless otherwise specified.
All players must have their XBL Gamertag linked to their Xiled Gaming profile.
Teams must have at least 3 players on the ice to play a game. Players may have a total of 8 players on their active roster. All roster changes must be completed prior to the roster lock date. Roster Lock Date: Friday, June 09 11:59PM est.
Playing with an illegal player will result in a team disqualification.


Schedule:


Sign ups will close June 9th. The bracket will be posted on June 10th. The tournament will start Monday June 11th. There will be two matchups per week. First matchup will begin on 12:01AM est Mondays and must be completed no later than Wednesday 11:59PM est. The second matchup will begin Thursday at 12:01AM est and must be completed no later than Saturday 11:59PM est. Games will be best of three. Match results must be reported as soon as they are completed in the reporting thread.


Playoffs:


The top two teams from each division will earn the opportunity to play in the playoffs.
The playoffs are a best of three tournament. Number of teams is TBD.
Teams will be seeded randomly. Home/Away will be generated randomly by the game.
If a contestant chooses to forfeit a match, they will be replaced by their opponent in the previous round.


Matches:


Teams have 15 minutes from the initial start time (as indicated on the schedule) to show up for their scheduled match unless otherwise indicated in writing by both team captains via PM on the website.
Teams listed as (H) on the schedule sheet host the series in its entirety.
Teams can play a match with a minimum of three players on the ice, nothing less.
Teams are only allowed to substitute a player before each match starts.
In order to receive a "No Show" victory, a tournament official must be contacted to verify the absence of opponent.
All scores must be submitted to the forum.
All teams in the game are allowed to be used.
Any actions that result in an unfair advantage are illegal. This includes "bugs" or "glitches". Utilization of such actions will result in a team disqualification.
Players are responsible for their own hardware and internet connection. Matches will not be rescheduled because of technical issues or player unavailability.
Usage of a non-licensed controller or hardware is strictly prohibited. This will result in a team disqualification.
Tournament officials reserve the right to make a judgment on rules not otherwise specified. All decisions are final and are not available for dispute.
If a player drops during the prep phase the game must be ended and rehosted.


Game Settings:


Settings will be left as the default settings.


Casting:


Players are may stream tournament matches. However, technical difficulties due to streaming will not be accepted as legitimate reasons for a restart.


Prizes:


The winning team will receive a signature and a seat in a possible all star bracket.
