Hey guys, just wanted to throw this shout out to all my fellow Air Force and Marines, I'm signing with the Air Force over Thanksgiving break. And to all my Marines cause I was gonna be one and they are the badasses of the military.
haha i'm not really sure what they'll have me do cause i really don't mind any of it, but i'm hopin to be the pilots of unmaned aircrafts such as the predators
ha, i joined up with the army. leaving february 17th 2010 for Basic. Then Ill be a 25 Victor (Combat Document/Production Specialist). 27 weeks of AIT and a 6 year service. Cant wait!
Nothing wrong with security forces. I as an SF toop my self. loved it, minus the never ending deployments. there is alot you can do in the career field. You just need to be motivated.
yah no1 likes a meathead, (nickname for mp haha)
im on x-mas leave from panjwaii and all i gotta say about basic is be in fit before u go, and make sure u have a ghost kit, which is 2 of everything cause they check ur toothpaste and **** and if its dirty u fail inspections. and make sure ur bed is above standards so sleep ontop of it. with ur canteen beside ur 45 degree angle and the frame of the bed. so the sheet doesnt move.
basic and ur school are the easy parts. the hard part is doing it all day in and day out for the next however many years. lol. well depending on what ones job is, lol.
yah my basic was 13 weeks and then i had 2 weeks of driving school for the m728 combat engineer vehicle. then my next posting which was 5 months of sq and bs after that then i did ojt and then pdt then went overseas and thats where i am now.
So I'm gonna be joining the Army after my next semester of college, and I haven't decided wether I should do Indirect-Infantry, Infantry, or MP. Any suggetions? Im the guy that wants to be involved, no desk jockey or a cook.
it just depends on what kind of stuff you want to get into, and how deep u wanna get in the sh*t, lol. good luck in whatever endeavor you choose. and think of the places and things youll be doing also.
if i was you, id wanna do mp but thats only cause it definitely helps if you wanna do criminal justice or something in the civilian world. like for me, I wanna be a film maker or a film/english teacher so im leaving february 17th to be a Combat Documentation/Production specialist which would relate to want i want to do in the civilian life once im done.
