Micromanaging
When someone comes to you asking for help it doesn't mean you are micromanaging! It's our responsibility as leaders to assist anyone that comes to us with an issue. The Open Door Policy is there for a reason!
Double checking to make sure people are upholding the responsibilities of their rank is not micromanaging - if you are doing things for them and not letting them learn and grow, you are hindering them and yourself through that action and micromanaging them. Showing them how to do something versus doing it for them will determine how successful both they and you are as leaders as you grow and learn.
Social Media
A reminder to everyone, If you choose to add members within the community on social media sites, any drama that comes from will not be handled with disciplinary action within Xiled Gaming. Anything that takes place on social media sites will not be monitored by XG or its leadership, so choose wisely on who you are adding and interacting with outside of Xbox, our website, or our community Discord servers.
Also please remember that we do not handle any XG business on social media sites - the only official forms of communication are Xbox parties & messages, our website, or the community Discord servers. We do not use Discord to do any official XG business - it is used to keep in contact when people aren't on their Xbox.
Promotions
When promoting members in the community, it is our jobs as leaders to make sure this is done correctly and professionally. Promotions are not done on anything other than the Xbox through a party chat, where you read them their new rank responsibilities and make sure they accept those responsibilities. Under no circumstances do we as leaders promote a member over Discord chat or any other form of communication. Lower ranking members learn from what they see on a day to day basis, and as leaders we must teach them and lead by example.
We do not promote members unless they have earned their promotion by showing that they are going above and beyond and will be successful in that rank, and we do not promote people just because they are the only one willing to step up into that rank.
Recruiting
All members are responsible for recruiting. As leaders, it is our responsibility to teach lower ranking members how to properly recruit. We always recruit QUALITY over QUANTITY. We are looking for like minded gamers who show interest in joining the community and are a good fit within that clan and the people already part of the clan, if they aren't quite fitting in but haven't done anything wrong, try to find a clan that they will fit in better. If someone is teabagging they would be a better fit for SYN, don't set them up in a KoG or XGC clan where they will get in trouble for playing how they usually play. There are many ways to recruit, don't be afraid to try something new if what you or your members have been doing isn't working.
Xiled Gaming is recruiting for Xbox One console players ONLY. We are a Xbox One platform community. Yes, there are games that can be played cross platform, and people can join into parties through the Xbox App, but if they do not physically have an Xbox One console, they cannot be recruited into any division in the community. If you need clarification, please hit up an XD or XC.
Honor Code
Leaders, please make sure you and your leadership re-read your division's Honor Code at least once or twice a month to ensure that members understand the rules and guidelines of the community. You should be comfortable explaining all aspects of the Honor Code when people ask, if you aren't sure, ask your leadership or use the open door policy if needed to make sure things are explained correctly the first time. If you don't know the answer, don't guess, tell them you will find out and get back to them. The reading in of members shouldn't be the last time they ever hear about the Honor Code, it should be something everyone is hearing on a consistent basis so it doesn't become something they forget about.
