If you have members hitting you up about coming back from inactivity, please make sure that we are verifying this prior to adding them to your clan. If you do not know how to do this, please get with your Section Leaders. Claiming to be inactive is a great opportunity for those members who have been removed or left our community to sneak back in. Please, lets be aware of who we are bringing into our clans.

If a member has special time needs (other than from 5 to 10 pm) or there has not been a class posted within the past few weeks, then hit up a leader.

Sexual Harassment is a ZERO TOLERANCE issue. These issues should not be taken lightly and need to be dealt with immediately. The XGC Leaders are always hear to listen and help with issues involving the Sexual Harassment. If you or someone you know do not feel comfortable speaking with us, XGC Lizz XS has graciously stepped up to go to as female Leader to listen to these issues and get them to the higher leadership.
- Asking for other members passwords, giving your password to another member is something that should not be happening. Lots of issues can stem from this action including giving rights to your GT/User Name and the consequences that come along with it. If you have given your password out to someone, please let an admin know immediately so it can be changed.
- Generals choose their Clan Tags or the lack thereof. It does NOT have to be an (x) dividing the Clan from the Rank. You may choose any symbol you'd like as long as it is appropriate.
- Generals, if your Section Leader is not going to be online for meetings, it is up to you to get into a Generals Meeting. We have 20+ Section Leaders so if you don't get an invite, send a message to another XS online.
- If you are not apart of the Xiled Gaming Club, please take the time to join it! Lots of XG members playing lots of different games!

Time Management - We do not expect you to be online every single day. Following your responsibilities, being there for your clans/gaming with your clans when you are online is what is expected. If your clan is built well, you being online everyday is not necessary.
Removing Members - There are 3 questions you should ask yourself prior to removing someone from the community.. #1 Good for the clan? #2 Good for a different division? #3 Are they good for the community. If the answer is no to any of those questions, fix the issue. We have different divisions to fit the many personalities in our community. Prior to removing someone, lets think if that is the best choice. (Ex. Breaches of the Honor Code, raging is not a breach of the Honor Code)
Inactivity - Members are not kicked for being inactive. Removing them from your usergroup after a period of time being inactive, however, is acceptable. Please make sure that when this is done, in the removal request it specifically states that the member went inactive so there are no issues in the future. (Most Generals go 30 days without communication)
Bringing Members Back - Returning members needs to be thoroughly researched prior to adding them to your clan. If they went inactive, and their inactivity is verified they are free to go wherever. If you cannot verify their inactivity, hit up an XS or send them to the GWG.

Clan Activity : Lets remind ourselves and our leadership that our clans are a big piece of an even bigger picture. We are a community, we have hundreds of like-minded gamers. Making every effort to get your clan members out of their box and networking with other clans is important. Give them diversity, give them the opportunity to get the best from our community by introducing them to it.
Communication : Keep your lines of communication open. If you are having any issues, communicate this with your Leadership. You are not alone, we are all a team. The last thing we want to see is people leave the community because issues that could have easily been fixed had they been known about. Communicate!
Be Confident! Be confident in the decisions you make as a Leader for your Clan! As Generals, you run your clan! Your Section Leader is there to support you and help you when it is needed.

-After that, please work on making sure the user groups are up-to-date. We will give you a few more days to get this done but we
are expecting XSs to facilitate making sure this gets done. Don't worry about micromanaging at during this process, just make sure the clans get back up and running.
-If you find issues with he website, please pass that information along. If you have members that are needing help, please message an XD to let us know how to help.
-If you miss a meeting, you are responsible for reading the meeting notes and getting with an XD if you have any questions. If there are assignments or duties in the meeting notes, you are expected to meet the deadline, as if you were at the meeting unless you contact an XD.
-With the new games being out, it is may be time to update the games that your clans play. Please put in a help desk request for these changes.

Leadership Training should be taking place all the time. If your clan is going good, keep training leadership. We have seen many instances where a clan is good but then something happens and the general or capt have to go inactive and the clan falls apart. The purpose of having the next set of leaders ready is so that they can step up when their time comes.
--To know if this occur be active with your clans and get to know the leaders and future leaders. Don't take someone's word about what's going on.

-Name Change Requests
Part 1--All name change requests for names that have "XGC" in the name, must be approved on the appropriate XS's "Ask the Section Leader" forum. If the name is not approved by the XS, with a post on that forum with you approving the name, it will be denied by the admin processing the request. This is one of the primary jobs of an XS. Make sure that your general's understand the process as well.
Part 2-Name changes that do not have "XGC" in the name, are not subject to approval, other than for appropriateness. Therefore, it is up to the general/captain to know when someone changes there name, so that the user group and clan lists match. There will be no communication from admin so it is up to the clan leaders to be communicating with their members.
Part 3-We want all sgts to be able to change their name, without issues, when they are ready, so make sure that when that member is being promoted, they are explained and understand the steps involved to get a XGC name.
--We are a gaming community. We are not a kik, Voxer, discord, etc. community. These are pathways we use for communication. They are not mandatory to download/be apart of. Therefore, we do NOT remove members from clans for choosing not to do so. Unless of course, there are other circumstances involved.
--Please let us know if you have an International Clan. This would be a clan that games and meets at a different time other than most of our clans because the members are located in, for example, the U.K., Australia, or Japan.

XG strongly discourages romantic relationships in the community. We are not an online dating service. There are other venues to pursue this activity. If you are looking out after your sexual satisfaction, you are not dedicating your time and energy for the betterment of our community.
Event Messages:
When events are around the corner, make sure to to get them out there by spreading the word. The proper channels to do this are, for example, on our website, Xbox clubs, or your activity feed. You should not be sending direct group messages to individuals to advertise events.
Mobile Apps (Smart Glass, Voxer, KIK, Xbox app on Windows 10, Texting):
These are all great ways to communicate with your clan and others in the community. On some chat/text apps you can create groups and invite your squad/clan members so that you can keep in touch outside the console and website. These are not to be used to replace the website or console but as an extension of them. Verbal communication is always better than texting.
Promotion Reflection:
It is important that you thoroughly consider all aspects of a position before you promote someone to fill that seat. Before even considering, that member should be able to fulfill the next rank responsibly with no issue. If that member cannot fulfill the basic responsibility, then obviously they still require training and that is your responsibility as a General.

Any subscriptions that are acquired through the website (GWG, Platinum, Gold, Site Supporter, etc.), the money provided goes back into the maintenance of the website and fund tournaments hosted by Xiled Gaming. Council does not pocket this money like evil business men. Rumors of these facts need to be halted and extinguished.

Please make sure before posting that your issue has not already been answered or solved with steps on how to solve the problem. Also, there is a link for resetting a members password, please make sure they utilize this function prior to seeking an Admin. If you need any assistance, make sure to hit up a Section Leader or Division Leader. You can view the forum by clicking here.
XG Bible-the XG bible has been updated and all of the post have been answered. Review the threads and make sure that you are reviewing the thread often, because entries can be added at any time and it is your responsibility to stay up to date on the information. The official answered responses are the ones that are to be informed or are changes in procedures. Any major changes resulting from bible entries will be published in the Weekly Updates.

When reading people in make sure you go over the Honor Code as well as the rank structure. Make sure they know who their leadership are. Also make sure they know what XS, XD, XC , and XI means so in case they join their party, have any questions etc.

When working with general's who are not meeting expectations, the conversation needs to be direct and clearly outline what they need to work on, the plan of action, and the timeline in which results are expected. The details of this conversation should be placed in the Section Updates.
Also, if a member asks to speak with you or asks a question, get back to them in a timely manner. Ignoring a members request causes issues and displays a lack of respect or caring.
Summer time:
With the summer months approaching, this should be a good time to find some new members who have more time on their hands. Make sure we are looking to find the next members for XG.
Also this is a good time to make sure that each clans User Groups are up to date. Also, make sure that the members are communicating when they will be inactive due to trips, vacations, etc..

Although we know that mobile communication is more convenient for communications within the clans and sections, it is still expected of you to communicate on the console for any issues that arise. As leaders, it is inappropriate to be having any discussions regarding your clans/sections on mobile apps. We are leaders on Xbox, not mobile app leaders and all leaders should be conducting themselves as such.
Previously, we discussed making sure your members are communicating when they were going to be on vacation or taking trips over the summer. Along this line, as a leader in the community, you should be communicating this information as well. So if you are taking a week off to head to the beach, camping, or whatever, make sure that you not only informs your section or clan, but also inform those up the chain of command. That way if an issue arises while you are gone, everyone knows who to contact and it can be dealt with.
Recruiting & Usergroup Requests:
When reading in new Recruits, the Honor Code and Rank Structure should not be paraphrased. They are an important element of Xiled Gaming and need to be read fully to the new Recruits so they understand what is expected of them in our community.
Furthermore, when someone is recruited, the General needs to be notified by the Captain. Moreover, the Captain needs to be adding the member onto their squad list. The General shouldn't have to investigate. They shouldn't be denying requests unless the person is not supposed to be in the usergroup.
We are finding that recruits are being copied and pasted on the Clan and Squad Lists and are recruits for weeks. Either they are promoted after the seven (7) days after joining, or they are not a fit for the community. Get with that recruit and get them promoted. They could be our future leaders in the community. Don’t let them sit and forget about them. Get with them, game with them, and work with them.

As the XS and General, it is your job to maintain your clan forum to ensure that it stays clean. Ex: Old lists being closed out and unstickied, previous update lists deleted in the threads, etc.
Please ensure that you are maintaining your clan forum so that it does stay clean and that it won't create any confusion for anyone looking at your forum for answers. It is highly recommended that you go through your forums on a regular basis to ensure there are no discrepancies within the forum. Furthermore, the Clan and Squad Lists need to follow the correct format as stated >>HERE<<. Going through the lists this past week, it has been noticed that the lists have not followed the proper format or have been neglected with posting on time and deleting the old list. This is your job in your current position. Make sure this gets done.
XiledGamingoCom and Twitch Usergroups:
XiledgamingoCom
XiledgamingoCom is a usergroup for a clan in XGC, it is not a forum for everyone in every division. There are alot of new recruits in all divisions joining this usergroup along with there clans usergroup. When having a new member join their respective usergroup, please make sure they are not joining this one as it causes a headache to know if the clan has new recruits or if members are just joining. It makes alot of unnecessary research for XS and general of the said clan.
Twitch
When trying to join the Twitch usergroup, please make sure members are posting their Twitch URL for their stream page and the person who recruited them in the textbox when putting in request to join usergroup. If that is not in there, the request will be deleted immediately if not requested in the correct format.
Promotions:
As leaders in the community, it's imperative that we are guiding and putting the right people in the position (Lt, Captains, Generals, ect.) We shouldn't just be filling a position just because its available and we're rushing to fill that vacant spot. This will not only cause issues in the future, but will prevent progress within your clans. Promotions are earned not given!

1. Bible Submissions: this forum is for any question/change that has been submitted to be included within the Bible that goes under review by the chain of command (XC and XI). There are three (3) stages that each submission goes through when a submission has been entered.

Under Review: An XC/XI has seen your question and will be bringing it before the XC/XI body for review.
Complete: The question has been discussed by the leaders and a decision has been made.
2. Completed Submissions Archive: Once all submissions have undergone the submission process, all entries will be moved to this Archive for future reference.

"Big" Meeting:
Every second Sunday of the month, Xiled Gaming will be streaming the "big" community meeting on Mixer at 10:00 p.m. Eastern. The next upcoming meeting is tonight at 10:00 p.m. Eastern. Add/follow Xiled Gaming on Mixer and become involved in these meetings. Any questions or comments you may have you can post in the stream chat and they can be answered during the meeting. Please use your discretion when you're posting your questions in the chat.
Accountability
As a leader in XG, you have displayed the drive and desire to be an asset to help XG grow. However, once you reach the next level, are you holding yourself, your peers, and your clans accountable to the high standard that XG requires? Are you using the tools that are available to continue to grow the community and future leaders? Or are you taking it easy, now "that you made it?" You must hold yourself accountable to continue to grow as a leader and to uphold the ideals of XG. This is done with your day to day attitude and actions being consistent with what is expected of a leader in XG. You cannot be effective if you are only being accountable part of the time.

Every second Sunday of the month, Xiled Gaming will be streaming the "big" community meeting on Mixer at 10:00 p.m. Eastern. The next upcoming meeting is tonight at 10:00 p.m. Eastern. Accountability
As a leader in XG, you have displayed the drive and desire to be an asset to help XG grow. However, once you reach the next level, are you holding yourself, your peers, and your clans accountable to the high standard that XG requires? Are you using the tools that are available to continue to grow the community and future leaders? Or are you taking it easy, now "that you made it?" You must hold yourself accountable to continue to grow as a leader and to uphold the ideals of XG. This is done with your day to day attitude and actions being consistent with what is expected of a leader in XG. You cannot be effective if you are only being accountable part of the time.
Clan Meeting Notes:
Clan meeting notes are important to keep your clan members who couldn't make the meeting, your Section Leader as well as the XD team informed of what is happening within your clan. Please ensure that you are posting your meeting notes so everyone can be kept up-to-date with the progression of your clan.
Weekly Meetings
Make sure you are meeting with your members weekly. Have fun, game , recruit, solve issues, and talk to your members. Be there for them and they will be there for you. Be a Xbox Leader not a mobile app text message leader.

As leaders in the community, we've all accepted the responsibility of that rank. Complacency is our enemy! Ask yourself what can you do to improve yourself as a leader? What can you do to be better than you were yesterday? What small steps can you take in the right direction? These are the questions you should ask yourself. You should never be too comfortable. There’s always something to be critiqued as leaders in this community so let's get out there and make a difference.

However, as a leader in XG, you must also be able to have any "difficult" conversations when needed. If someone in a leadership position is failing short of the requirements and expectation, a conversation needs to be had to explain where they are lacking, what they need to do to correct the deficiencies, and the timeline to do so. In order to recognize when these types of conversations are needed, you must be actively engaging the leadership of your clans or sections. By being a proactive leader and being willing to have the needed conversations, your clan or section will have the leadership needed to be successful, thus making XG stronger.
Recruiting and Activity:
Recruiting members is fun and the numbers can look good on your clan. However, we do not recruit people just for numbers. It is imperative that we recruit quality members that are going to be beneficial to our clan, and be people who others enjoy gaming with. Also, it is imperative that we are not just recruiting members and never following up with them, bring the members activities and excitement from the community!

Also the same with asking if someone is available online in the XG Leaders chats. Simply be patient and wait until someone gets online. This is a game at the end of the day and we all have real life’s. Whatever it is that you need to talk about can wait for somone to get online. Instead of going straight to the chat to ask for an XD, try hitting up a peer instead. You would be surprised by what you can accomplish with your peer group.
The Discord chat also is not the place to ask lazy questions (ones that you can get the answers to yourself with a little research.) so do not get into the habit of doing that either.
Motivation and Innovation
As an XS or general, it is your responsibility to provide the tools that are necessary for your generals and clan leaders to be successful. You got to the rank of XS or general because you were motivated to do the job requirements to reach the next level: so are you instilling that motivation into your generals or are you setting back and letting them do their own thing, hoping they will figure it out? You should be communicating with your generals about what it took for you to run a successful clan and assisting them in how to accomplish the tasks. For example, they should understand why it is important to always be recruiting, training leadership, holding clan events, joining community events, etc., as these pertain the success of the clan and to them being able to reach the goals that they have established.
So what happens when you have this conversation with your general, but they say they have tried to do those but nothing is working? That is where Innovation comes in. If the way you are approaching a problem is not yielding positive results, you have to be able to try new approaches. If recruiting is not working because everyone is in party chat, try game chat. If no one is showing up for meetings, combine it with a game night or do a movie night. If you come across issues that you haven't faced before and are not sure of another approach, hit up a peer to see if they have some ideas or get with a section leader or division leader.
Growth
This is a very big topic that we always talk about yet it still seems to be being looked over within our community. This doesn't always mean bringing in new members but it is part of it. Growth includes the members in the clan and training them on reaching the next rank in XG. We obviously dont force promotions on anyone but that dont mean that you cant push knowledge down to them so that they know what to do in certain situation. For example is a SGT knows how to do things on the website your members would be able to utilize that person for issues they may be having on the site.

With up coming release of the new games in the next couple of months, there will be opportunities for clan growth. However to be ready to seize those opportunities, you must be preparing now and over the next six weeks.
First of all you should be finding out what games your clan members are looking to purchase. Once you determine what most of the clan will be playing, there be members that may want to grow different game or transfer to another clan that is playing that game. Make sure no member is left behind.
Also don't forget to do an Update Clan Request to get the website up dated for your new games.
You should be making sure that you have leadership in place that are prepared to grown the clan by helping welcome and train the new members. They should know the importance of holding game nights and meetings.
Also, as new members are concerned, you should make sure that your members know how to recruit, who to recruit, and what to do with them once they are recruited. It is hard to recruit if you are gaming with the same 5-6 members in a private party. Utilize the game chats to meet potential members. Everyone should be recruiting now and pick up the pace when the new games drop.
There will be an abundance of opportunities for clan growth and new members, will you take the time now to prepare to take advantage of those opportunities; if not, be assured that someone else will.

Bashing and insulting other members or clans within the community during streaming, be it over the mic or in the chat, is not something that will be overlooked. If anybody witnesses this kind of behaviour it should be reported to the appropriate leadership.
Captain's Usergroup Requests:
When a new member is promoted to a Captain, they will need to post a Usergroup Request to the SYN Captain's Usergroup. Before submitting a request, the member will need to have their OWN squad list posted on the forums (Not posting in a previous captain's already posted Squad List). They will also need to be listed as a Captain on the Clan List in order to be accepted.
Leadership Accountability:
If you have promoted a captain and for whatever reason they are not meeting the requirements of the position, you as the leader of the clan must take action. First of all you have to make sure when promoting the Captian that they understand the responsibilities of the rank and when they fall short on those responsibilities, you have to hold them accountable. Meet with them let them know that it is unacceptable and that you expect that they will do what is required. If they are unable to hold up their end of the deal, then you have to be willing to make a change in leadership. Ineffective leadership is the quickest way to doom a clan.

Everybody accepts the Honor Code when they decide to become a part of the community. It is very clearly stated there that modding is not allowed. There are no exceptions to this rule. XG does not participate in this type of play, it does not matter what game you are playing or whether it is a custom game or a public one. If you are modding or participating in modded lobbies then you are breaking the rules and you will face the consequences to your actions.

When you don't do these things, it makes it harder for others to know what's accurate, and what is not. Please go through at least once a month to ensure they stay clean. This will make it easier for leadership, and members, to easily find what they are looking for.

The training should be in place prior to the decision to split and each member should be well versed in the responsibilities of the rank that they will be assuming and have an understand of what they are committing to. There should also be some extra members in the wings ready to step up, just in case someone has to be replaced.
Rage Quitting and Leaving Fellow Gamers Behind:
While games do get frustrating to play, especially the different personalities of the gamers who play them, it is not fair to anyone if you leave during the middle of the game due to being frustrated. It is not professional, sportsmanlike, and not how we should be representing the game community. People leave either by straight up leaving the lobby and leaving the party, shutting off their xbox just to turn it on later or they go offline and continue gaming. Out of respect for fellow gamers, please make sure everyone understands this and waits til the end of the game to leave. This will allow the rest of that lobby to pick up another member to play a ranked game on Siege, complete another raid on Destiny, or have a full 6 man team on WWII. Everyone should want to represent our gaming community in a professional way and should respect the honor code.

This will allow the rest of that lobby to pick up another member to play a ranked game on Siege, complete another raid on Destiny, or have a full 6 man team on WWII.
