In this interview I had pleasure to kick back with the newly apointed section leader,XGC Ellis XS I hope you all enjoy it!
So how is your day going so far?
So far so good.
I’m going to ask you some questions so all of XG can get to know the newest and soon to be hardest working Section Leaders in XG!

So where are you from?
I live in Clemson, South Carolina
What got you into gaming?
Well I had to find something to keep me busy when I was off work, and bored. I thought what better than playing some games. I tired computer games, however I'm horrible at counter strike.
So how long have you been in XG?
I have now been in XG for 2 years.
Why did you join XG?
I joined XG because of the Honor Code and Rank Structure. I enjoyed playing games with a team. Its always nice to get online and have guys from XG send you a game invite.
Who recruited you into XG?
I was recruited by XGC Penquin and XGC x 007x XI, into XGC Delta.
What was your gamer tag before you were in XG?
Before im was XGC ELLIS, I was just ELLISC42
Where did you Ellis Come from?Nickname?
Ellis is my last name, in the Military world you are called your last name more than anything.
What do you do for a Living?Military? Retired?
After college I went into the Air Force, and enjoyed that for 6 years, after i got out i did the Private Military thing for a little while, and now i work for another PMC as a Weapons and Tatics Instructor.
Alright so what would you say makes a so called "GOOD" XG member?
Someone that listens. If you listen to what your leaders ask, do that and take care of your guys, everything takes care of itself.
Are you much of a sports fan?
I love College Sports, not to big on professional sports.
Alright with the Super Bowl Coming up who do you have winning? Colts? Or Saints?
I'm going to take the Saints, they have to running game, and if they pressure Peeyton like they did Favre, I believe the Saints win big.
Whos better Kobe Bryant or Lebron James?
Ill take Lebron just because of his age, and what he has done being so young. He has taken a very important role as a young leader and matured into that position.
Winter Olympics you gonna watch them?
Yep, my wife and I are ready for the Olympics.
Do you have any favorite quotes from anyone who may inspire you?
My dad is a retired Sergeant Major, from the Army and his favorite thing to say is: If you are going to do something, Do it and be great at it! so I try to live by his words.
What’s one thing that you think is over used on the internet?
Hmm.. Tough question, Im going to say Soical Group Websites like Facebook and Myspace. People tend to over use them. They put to much information and stuff about themselves into those sites. You never know who is out there reading that material.
What do you think the future Of XG is going to look like?
Big, with the Council and Leaders of XG pushing the commuinity into bigger and better places. The sky is the limit. Id like to turn the TV on one day and see the first ever TV commercial for XG.
For any upcoming members of XG what advice would you give them?
Pay attention to what you are signing up for, read the Honor Code and game by it.
Whats your thoughts on people not liking the method of spamming messages from the Council?
We are a community of 40,000 plus members. If the Council or another leader send something out for the community and we dont spam it, someone in the 40,000 members might miss it. When i became a leader in the Community Captain or Higher, you argree to take on the role and push the info you are given out to your members. So if you want the responsibility of a Higher Rank be prepare to make the appropriate commitments.
What is your method for Recruiting members?
Im not sure I have a method, other than I play with any possible recruits for atleast a week, to find out what kind of player they are. Are they mannered? Are they able to accept defeat and take it with out resorting to trash talking? If so then, then i take it to the next level. I would recruit a players for quality not for quanity.
How much do you want Clans to Use Clan Compete for them to Prove how good they are?
Its a site that is provided by our Council, for our Clans to use. Its also another way for us, as a commnunity to recruit members and for our clans to game against each other to better there game.
What’s your favorite part of being a Member of XG?
I would say to be able to get online, get into a game with members and have fun consistant games.
How did you take the news that your were going to be promoted to XS?
I was humbled by the promotion, I am here for the community, I have always asked what can I do to help the community out? If a leader came to me and needed something or needed me to fulfil a role, I would do it to the best of my ability.
Alright so what are your likes and dislikes of these three consoles?
Xbox 360 PS3 And the Wii! Love the 360, what more can you say. PS3, online is free and horrible, it is not user friendly, the Wii and is great for little kids and retirement facilities.
What are your 5 Favorite Games?
COD4, MW2, Ace Combat 6, Dead Space, and Battlefield Bad Company.
Now what are your 5 least favorite Games? All time! Super Mario Brothers 2, Pac Man, Tiger Woods Golf 2009, Madden Football, and Hawxs
Give me 5 of your favorite movies that you love to watch.
Forrest Gump, Tremors, Top Gun, Airplane, and Funny Farm.
What games would you like to see a remake of?
As far as a remake, lets remake G.I. Joe the game and do it right this time.
What was your New Years Resolution?
To take more vacations.
Alright what do you think a good New Years Resolution for Xiled Gaming would be?
To keep to community moving forward, learn from past mistakes and be positive.
What artist do you enjoy listening to whether it be in the car or just chilling out at home while playing your game?
I love anything Rock. Creed, Disturbed, Metallica, anything along those lines.
What did it take for you to be where you are today in XG?
Listen to what my leaders say, follow there examples and be willing to help the community when i could.
