This is Ian Danny Nicholas. He will be two years old in October. His favorite colors are orange and yellow. He loves learning sign language from his big sisters. His favorite thing to drink is chocolate milk, or apple juice. His favorite animal is a dog or "dog dog." He loves to watch videos of farm animals on YouTube. He loves to dance to any music that plays and will put a smile on your face, a laugh in your belly, and a dance in your own feet. When he was learning to talk, his mom wanted to teach him his big sister's nicknames, "Katie" or "Cake" but he combined them and created a new nickname for her that she adores more than anything in the world, and that nickname is "Kakie."

I get woken up every morning to a little voice saying "'ake up, Kakie. 'ake up." It makes me smile, even though I hate mornings more than anything, but hearing that little voice yelling at me and hearing those little feet run into my room makes it worth it to wake up in the morning. From 7:00 AM PST to 2:00 PM PST, Monday through Friday, I babysit Ian. There are days that I want to tear my hair out, scream bloody murder, and slam my head into the wall if I have to watch Trolls, Moana, Zootopia, Sing, or a How to Train your Dragon series one more time. Then there are days that I could go hours just listening to the laughter, looking at the smiles, and laughing at the shenanigans.

Ian is my baby brother and there isn't anything in this world that would keep me from making that baby smile. Anyone that knows me knows about the little guy that has stolen my heart ten times over. I talk about him at least once a day and every once in a while my time on Xbox is dedicated to letting him wear my headset so he can say hello to my clan members. There is nothing in this world that I would ever trade for him.

Ian was adopted by my parents from my mother's father and his girlfriend, who are both drug addicts. He was born with meth in his system, but had no withdrawal symptoms and is probably one of the happiest babies I've ever met. There isn't a second that goes by where he isn't smiling or laughing at something random. Like "ew," whispering "I love you" in his ear, or tickling his little ribs.

Ian Danny Nicholas is an almost two year old little boy. He loves to dance to music, even if it's not music that should be danced to. He knows a whole bunch of sign language. He loves orange and yellow everything. He loves to love on the dogs at home, even when they run away. He knows a lot of farm animal sounds because he loves to watch YouTube videos. He loves to drink chocolate milk or apple juice. He loves his "Kakie" and will forever hold a very special place in her heart until the end of time.
