    Ode To Gaming

    Born to fight,
    Trained to kill,
    Protect My Friends,
    Always Will
    Stay Low,
    Move Fast,
    Kill First,
    Die Last,
    One Shot,
    One Kill,
    No Luck,
    Pure Skill
    Mess with the best,
    Die like the rest.
You can mess with a gun,
You can mess with a knife,
    But mess with me, and
    I'll take your life

    Female Gamers Have It Bad:
Study Suggests Women are Targets for ‘low-status, low-performing’ male gamers

    By Dave Smith

There's a pretty strong correlation between male game players' sexist remarks towards female game players and how bad those men are at playing games, according to a new study published in the journal PLOS One last week, which also sheds some light on the behaviors and attitudes of men that act anonymously online.

    SYN KayKat XD

If you’ve played Fortnite or watched the XG Stream, then you know her by #SlayKat. SYN KayKat XD has been a Division Leader over SYNdicate for a just about six months. She first joined the community 2 years ago, March of 2016, on her birthday to be exact! Call me bias, best Birthday Gift to her!

Growing up she never was really a gamer except when she played Crash Bandicoot on the Play Station as a kid. It wasn’t until she went through a bad breakup and her brother gave her an XBOX 360 that she decided getting on Black Ops II and shooting people in the face was better than going on a murder spree and going to jail. Good choice #SlayKat!

    By Lauren Cochrane (Lifestyle)

Usually, when hot girls start talking about gaming, it’s an obvious ploy to try and get attention from guys, and that’s no different when it comes to celebrity girl gamers. However, there are a few celebrity girl gamers that seem to be the real deal!

Gaming is a highly male saturated industry which makes it a lot harder for girsl to come out on top. Hopefully, these celebrity girl gamers will be enough to reassure you that there are girls everywhere who love to play games just as much as you!

Previously known as coprxmesis, XGC Gore has been in the community since March of 2017. She was recruited into XGC Torment XK and made her way up the ranks, transferred into XGC Kings where she has held the rank of General for the past 9 months.

If you don’t know her now, you’ll want to know her by the end of this. Why? “She’s a God . . .”, says XGC Charley XS, “she sets a fun atmosphere no matter who is present.”

How did she get into gaming?
She grew up in a household with lots of kids who gamed. She was about 13-14 yrs old when she discovered her dads Play Station 1 which she played a lot along with the Nintendo 64. She wasn’t a huge gamer up until 2015 which is when she got her first XBOX One. She started out playing only single player games such as Fall Out 4, The Witcher 3, Elder Scrolls Online (which she played alone). In fact, she had completely forgotten that you could play online until then. Eventually, she got into Black Ops 1 to play Zombies then was introduced by friends to Search & Destroy, then introduced to Black Ops III which she fell in love with!

How was she introduced into the community?
While playing Black Ops III she became competitive and wanted to find a competitive clan to be a part of so she made a ‘Looking for Group’ post on the Activision CoD Forums. A few members including KoG Sylvester XS, XGC Dreadnought, XGC Sneezer XS, and XGC Goddess XS hit her up on the forums. Funny thing, at the time she had no idea that KoG & XGC were tied together or the fact that all three XGC members where part of different sections so she told them that she would join all of them. XGC Sneezer XS told her that she would have her General hit her up on the box. The next day XGC Dreadnought, who was not the General of XGC Sneezer XS, hit her up and she ended up joining XGC Torment XK. Another coincidence? XGC Goddess XS had planned on recruiting her into XGC Kings, which she now resides as the current General.

Her name is SYN Entice, previously known as XposionX01, but most of us know her as Entense, previously known as Explosion. No matter what Gamer Tag she decides to run with, we always have a different name for her which usually matches her personality!
SYN Entice is a SYNDICATE General over SYN Kings and has been for a little over a year. She has been in the community since May of 2016. Friends and family never took her for too much of a gamer. She grew up with her dad and her younger sister doing all the gaming. Growing up she bonded through Play Station with her brother playing Dark Alliance and Fable (which were both owned by her dad). She didn’t have her first console until her younger sister moved out of her house and left her XBOX 360 behind. That’s when she really picked up gaming, fell in love with Black Ops II, and was eventually recruited into the clan that she is currently General over, SYN Kings.

The Most Important Women in the History of Video Games
    By D.S. Cohen

The days of the video game business being a boy's club are long over as women are now taking charge as some of the industry's top executives, but it wasn't an easy climb. In the '70s and '80s when the video game market was just getting itself established, women had to fight hard to get their voices heard in the completely male-dominated business. Those that did made major marks in the industry, not because they are women, but because their innovations and influences changed the world of video games for the better.

These are the most important, influential and historic women in the world of video games.

Roberta Williams: Co-Creator of Graphical Adventure Games, Co-Founder of Sierra

One of the most important figures in the history of video games. In '79 Roberta became inspired after playing the text-only computer game Adventure and put together a design doc outlining an interactive game combining text with graphics. Her husband Ken, a programmer at IBM, developed the software engine and tech using their Apple II home computer. When finished their game, Mystery House, was an instant hit and the graphical adventure genre was born.

The couple formed the company On-Line Systems (later called Sierra), and became the dominating force in computer games.

By the time Roberta retired in '96 she was credited with over 30 top computer games, the majority of which she wrote and designed, including Kings Quest and Phantasmagoria.
